Mii sports would certainly be something i would be interested in. While the Wii brand is gone, Miis might still have a place. Nintendo should continue to cater to a broad audience to capture everyone. Why would anyone want to segment themselves.

They are certainly trying hard to market it that way. That being said, I wouldn't be mad if something called Mii Sports was released in a year or two. Would love to have a proper disc golf sim on Switch among other sports.

As has been said many times, It was very easy to beat the story quickly, but the challenge is there if you want it. Making games accessible to everyone is a very good thing and this game did it very well. Galaxy 1/2 was the same way, it was easy, (admittedly quite a bit harder than Odyssey), to get the 60 stars, but getting 120 was a true challenge. Same with Odyssey.

I'll wait to see what Nintendo comes up with. Clearly they are working on this after all the backlash with the current situation with Splatoon 2, and they have a way of making things work that we didn't think of before. They've earned it.

kind of hard to argue with that, isn't it....Oh wait..Nostalgia!!!

The point of posting on n4g isn't to generate comments on n4g, but to get clicks on their site. The first thing we should all do is click the link, read the article, then comment. If the title led you to get here, the author deserves the click.

How worthless would those shrine chests be if people just kept the best weapon and nothing else? Being that you can go to these in basically any order, just going to the best reward would make the game super easy. I throw away more good weapons that I ever worried about breaking.

Blaming everything on Nostalgia is just a cop out excuse. Not everyone has nostalgia for the series. That's just a slap in the face to every developer that is proud of the game and the many reviewers that gave honest well t hought out reviews. If you don't think the game is great, but don't devalue others' opinion by claiming "nostalgia"

Your audience isn't there is you don't provide something for your audience. Chicken egg scenario. 3rd party support by developers or support for 3rd parties by consumers. Which comes first. Seems kind of hard to support something that isn't there.

Does it physically hurt you for people to be happy? What is your goal, precisely? I can't call you an sjw, but you are doing the same thing. If we are happy, we are not seeing the truth, so you'll be vocal and unappy for us. How about console warrior. Hope that sticks.

Another way of looking at it would be that the Switch is the sole 9th generation console. Say the ps5 and xboxtwo come out in 2020. Then the Switch 2 comes out in 2021, then what generation are we talking about. 9th or 10th? If the 8th generation from PS and MS last long enough, then couldn't the PS5 and XBoxtwo be the 10th generation? and the Switch 2 would also be the 10th gen. Does anyone see how ridiculous that stilli using generation badging has become irrelevant.

Isn't it about time we stopped with this generation garbage. Each system has two things, their current console and their legacy systems. The article is good and addresses this. If anything, Nintendo got out of the console space like the vocal minority has wanted for years and didn't bother to make a 9th generation home console. They simply started a completely new type of console and the Switch is Gen 1. This is just what Nintendo does, which start something new. Or If we must, ...

My personal preference is to keep the backlog unpurchased until I want to play them. Why buy games you aren't going to play. Much cheaper that way.

actually read the article...and it's just as dumb as I thought. The trouble with reporting any kind of statistics, is no one ever breaks down how they arrived at the data, what assumptions they made. Too many times, they leave out the details that don't support their argument. 2.5 hours a day for a year is very unrealistic. Yes, gaming isn't as expensive as people will lead you to believe. I like to use similar arguments to justify my own spending($60 for 150 hours of play=ba...

While gaming is cheaper entertainment than say, going to concerts, or going to the movies. Those things have set times and are finite in their enjoyment. The problem with their argument on cost to consumer is that each person gets a different amount of time out of their games. I'm fine with adding DLC to a game provided that the original content is in itself a complete game and it isn't released day one. I'd much rather have this then microtransactions and lootboxes, or raisin...

Just checked out your channel. Streaming a game an providing nothing to add to the experience might as well be stealing. If Nintendo is claiming your videos, good on them.

If that is true, then I guess bigger sites like zackscott or yogscast are sharing their revenue with Nintendo. I obviously don't know, as I'm not a youtuber, but I'm skeptical. I guess my point then is that is someone uploads a video and gets angry or surprise about Nintendo claiming their video, that's on them for not following the stated rules. Nintendo has made clear what can and cannot be done and has a revenue sharing option. Does it suck for youtube? Yes, is it ideal,...

It truly is as hard as you want it to be which is my definition of a game being accessible. People said the same thing about Galaxy 1 completing the game with 60 stars and stopping. Getting to the credits is really only half of the game. The challenge is there to be found if anyone wants the challenge. That being said, I did feel it was very easy to beat the main story, but if anyone stops there, they aren't getting their money's worth and are doing themselves a disservice. So mu...

lots of people upload content and have no issues. Perhaps they get Nintendo's permission first, or Nintendo likely has rules about what can and cannot be shown. careful editing might be all that is necessary. most are not part of the creators program.
