If Sony doesn't have the PS Store up by E3.. I doubt anybody will really care what they have to say.
I'm going to take a wild guess and say the author of that article hasn't played EITHER game yet, which makes the article pointless.
So what are they saying, that they KNEW the PS3 version of Black Ops was going to have a lot of issues before it's release? I'm thinking they didn't.. and when MW3 comes out, I'm thinking they won't know about all of it's problems either.
In honor of Kenickie.. LEGO Grease!
a new era? uh oh.. i guess they'll do away with blood and chair shots and give it a "G" rating to go along with WWE TV's "PG" rating.
I don't see where that hints that the Store is returning May 31. They could just be having routine maintenance with the Store already up and running before then. Who knows, the Store could be up tonight. Then again, it could be weeks!
I never once thought Battlefield 3 would out-sell Modern Warfare 3, BUT I do think it will "narrow the gap" quite a bit.
BF3 is a day-one buy for me. MW3 is a rental.
I think I fear the fine print signing up for Debix more than I do the chances of some hacker having my credit card information.
I'm beginning to wonder if people in the US have given up on the PS Store ever returning. Since Sony shot down the rumor Tuesday of it not returning that day and yesterday.. nothing much else has been said about it. First time in weeks.
I subscribe to GameFly.. not really that big a fan of the service as it takes them FOREVER to send me something new. If I mail something back to them on a Monday, I'll be LUCKY if I get something else from them my mid-week the NEXT week, where as with Netflix I can mail something out on Monday and have something new by Thursday. I wish Netflix rented video games. Unfortunately, GameFly is my only game renting option other than Blockbuster, which has a lousy selection.
Not hating, as I own and play both PS3 and Xbox, but for this reason, I'll find humor in the recent speculation that Xbox Live has been hacked.
The only thing I want to hear about Medal Of Honor right now is when I'll be able to access the Battlefield 3 beta with the copy of Medal Of Honor I bought last year.
I don't think this is that big a deal. To redo every single aspect of the game would take away from the game's charm - obviously they need to change things up ENOUGH for it to be an all new experience, BUT at the sametime, you want to keep things somewhat familiar.
I'm sure Battlefield will do the same.
On Xbox...
Call Of Duty > Battlefield
On PS3...
Battlefield > Call Of Duty
I never even finished Black Ops before I got rid of it, so I'm not interested in "buying" MW3. I'll rent it for sure, though. But I'll definitely be picking up Battlefield 3 for PS3 when it comes out this Fall.
Depends on the pace and if what they're showing is interesting or not.
couldn't you return the PS3 after getting the gift cards - and then repurchase it WITH the gift cards?
Agreed. I'm okay with retailers having an exclusive DLC as a preorder bonus, AS LONG AS that same DLC is made available to EVERYONE soon after for a LOW price. Thing is, they rarely ever say rather or not the DLC WILL be available to everyone. Only game I've heard beforehand that the preorder DLC would be made available to everyone is with LA Noire. Hopefully, EPIC does the same.
I have the game preordered at GameStop (US).. wonder what the bonus will be there.
I'm not looking too much into anyone's predictions - who would have thought last year that Microsoft was going to announce a new Kinect ready Xbox and that it was shipping out to retailers THAT week?
If there is one thing I can say about the video game industry it's year after year it has outdone itself this generation. So I'm sure E3 will blow us away with what's to come yet again. We'll find out in 2 weeks.
Sony will be okay. Just check the couch cushions in the executive's suite and everything will be back to normal.
The Japanese PSN is working in the U.S., too. ;)
