True and that will more than likely always be true regardless of what console makers come up with. But I can't afford to constantly update my PC for the latest game's spec requirements and since I keep important information on my PC, I also don't to want to put anything unnecessary on it that could increase it's chances on crashing. So, home console gaming is not only safer, but more affordable and more convenient with my setup.
To those of you who disagreed - it's cool. 90 year old hags need love too. ;)
Whats wrong with being a fan of graphics? Personally, I like pretty things. I like looking at pretty things. And I'm betting those in the gaming industry are liking pretty things too - why else would they spend so much time creating such stunning visuals and perfecting the smallest of details? Maybe I'm just shallow, but then, how many people here would prefer a self-center, yet hot, young, bikini wearing babe over a 90 year old hag with a great personality?

That video isn't exactly a "leak". If you get a beta code from GameStop and "redeem" the code, you'll get a download - download it, and when you try playing it, it'll sign you out of XBL, start up like a typical Epic game and then display that screen with that information. Once you hit the exit button, you'll automatically sign back in to XBL. Not a "leak" at all.
that's the funniest thing i've read all day! hilarious. have a bubble!
I put $25 on the Gears 3 Epic Edition last week at GameStop. No idea whats in it, but I figure if it's something great, I'll already have my pre-order in with no fear of missing out. If it turns out the Epic Edition sucks, I can always downgrade my pre-order to the standard edition. It being only March also gives me plenty of time to get it paid off before Gears comes out in September.
The only other games I will invest in a special edition of - if the special edit...
What, no Gears Of War tats???
I plan on buying a 2nd PS3 soon - mainly for it's blu-ray, as I've been wanting a blu-ray player for the bedroom. So the cloud saves is GREAT for me, as now I can play games in the living room like usual, but if I decide to stay in bed all day, my saved games will be available to me on my 2nd PS3. Or, if I go over to a friend's house to play, I can pull up my saved games without having to install them on a jump drive beforehand. It's a MAJOR WIN in this way. Otherwise, it ...
When the PS3 came out, was that the "nail in the coffin" for the PS2? Uhh.. no. In fact, all these years later, the PS2 still sells and developers still release games for it. So, no. I don't think this price drop or the NGP is the "nail in the coffin" for the PSP.
I put over 100 hours into BFBC2's multiplayer on the Xbox before getting rid of the game - then a few months ago, I got a good deal on the PS3 version and have been playing it off and on since. They essentially look and feel identical. So I doubt there will be much difference between the console versions of BF3. I'll still pick it up for PS3, though.
Medal Of Honor and Battlefield games seem to favor the PS3 - while a game like Call Of Duty seems to favor the Xbox. Much like Mortal Kombat is favoring the PS3 by including Kratos and Bulletstorm favored the Xbox by including the Gears 3 beta.
I'll definitely be getting Battlefield 3 for the PS3.
The demo rocks! is brutal as hell and looks fantastic. I love how it stays true to the original.
Day 1 buy!
i'd be really interested in a next-gen Killer Instinct.
not everyone is a PC gamer. some people ONLY play games on a home console, because they can't keep up with the growing number of system requirements PC games demand.
I honestly don't see what the hardcore gamers are complaining about. It's not like Xbox is going all casual, supporting ONLY the Kinect and it's games and forgetting everyone else. The majority of the games available on Xbox this year - and I'm talking both multi-platform and exclusives - will be for the hardcore. So WE're hardly being left out.
I tried Move with KZ3.. didn't really care for it.
How did I get raped? I got to "try out" the game, decided I didn't care for it and came away $5 ahead. I don't call that being raped.
The thing about GameStop most people don't seem to realize is that it's OPTIONAL. Nobody is forcing anybody to trade their games there. If you don't like what GameStop has to offer, DON'T TRADE YOUR GAMES THERE! It's that simple. But at the sametime, it's YOUR GAME to choose WHAT you want to do wi...
I actually traded Marvel Vs Capcom 3 there just the other day and got $40 for it with the promotion they're currently running. That worked out great for me, because I paid $60 for the game at Kmart and got a $25 gift card. So, I actually came out $5 ahead on that deal.
Well, actually, GameStop doesn't mark out the extra content label that the game's publisher sometimes puts on the front/back cover.. such as Bulletstorm's Gears 3 beta included that's clearly marked on the game's cover. The uninformed consumer shouldn't be held accountable - after all, it's right there on the cover that the extra content is included. GameStop should be held accountable and should start concealing those extra content tags before selling the games ...
I like my Kinect. Kinect Sports is awesome - I play it with my 3 year old. My wife plays Dance Central w/ her, which is awesome and hilarious at the sametime. I'm actually looking forward to picking up that Circus/Carnival game and the Sesame Street game for it. (It beats playing with Barbie dolls in the floor.) And I'm a guy currently playing Killzone 3 and have spent the last several years playing games like Call Of Duty, Battlefield and Gears. Kinect is a WIN in my book.
I think you're the only one. In my opinion, MK has never looked better. The character designs and the smoothness of the moves are as sharp as ever on my HDTV.
