So, what--you just thought you knew better than everyone when we've been saying GT is the king of racing games? At least you saw the error of your ways.
@mcmmaster
You never played any games the "rating" said you were too young for? You'd probably be the only person on earth.
(I put rating in quotation because, really, I don't know anything about the people who hand out these ratings. I don't know of any studies to back these ratings either, and I don't know of any respectable study that says ANY game genre affects children in any negative way. But here's a case study of one for ...
It's hard to tell if it's real. All the character models and dialog are from AA...
It has buttons. Therefore ANY game on this thing is automatically superior to iPhone games.
Well the PSP2 was never really a secret to begin with. We always knew Sony was saving the second analog stick for their next gen portable console.
So that would make the Xperia the worst kept secret by default... Especially since we've heard rumors of a PSP phone for a LONG time now!
Is it retroactive? Doubt it...
So, to be pro in Sony's eyes, all you have to do is *buy* a lot of games? Lame. What about TROPHIES?? Pro should be: reach trophy level 6 (or something).
I wonder what level 12 would get me?
LAWL Bulletstorm! That game is definitely NOT on my most anticipated list. Neither is Homefront. Hell, where is Skyrim? And InFamous 2, Rage, Portal 2, Deus Ex, THE LAST GUARDIAN?? Lists are opinions, sure, but I do not agree with this guy's opinion at all.
Well, IGN listed it as Q4, so October 7 might not be far-fetched.
Hey, SEFEROTH, the TWO best selling games on PS3 are: GT5 and GT5: Prologue. Among the best selling, NOT SHOOTERS, are Motorstorm, LittleBigPlanet, Final Fantasy XIII, InFamous, Heavy Rain, Heavenly Sword, God of War III, Ratchet and Clank, etc. And one of the most critically acclaimed games on the console this gen, Demon's Souls, outsold the dev's expectations many times over.
So get OFF my DICK.
Also, I refer you to my other comment in this thread t...
Damnit Insomniac, stop announcing announcements and just give us the details already! They're gonna kill me with this constant teasing.
(Off-topic: Woolley did you play MAG?!)
Out of the two I'd much rather this game played like Halo than CoD.
DRM strikes again.
Sure, those things you point out make it seem like the population is dumbing down, but it's not the case. Before celebrity whores it was something else--only you're noticing this issue because we're in it. Look back on decades past and you'll see there were much worse issues, and you only need to go a few decades back to get to a time when education was inaccessible to most of the population.
I won't argue with you on Dead Space 2 though! The game looks am...
Oh boo-hoo. I was never more interested in playing Resident Evil than when I was 12. Sure, the BOX says the game is for gamers 17 and up, but that's an arbitrary rating given by some board. Playing RE when I was so young hasn't affected my development in any way.
But I'm not surprised at an article like this coming from someone who believes in the "dumbing down of the general population". News flash: the general population has ALWAYS been dumb. In fact, ...
Well then it's obviously obvious I'll be getting a PSP2, isn't it? ;)
I'm getting really tired of these useless articles. This is worse than speculation (which I hate)--it's just wishful thinking!
Give me hard info, or shut up already.
You mean the last 8 words?
And if you disagree with the asshole part, it's because you clearly misunderstood my point. Yes, of course I want the challenge. But on top of that, I want noobs to not be able to complete the game just because some mechanics allow them to*. That definitely makes me an asshole.
*Further explanation: my friend is a total FPS noob. Whatever mp fps he plays, he sucks at. He rarely ever finishes the sp either. He never even finished...
ONE thing it needs to do to get me to purchase:
-Have 2 analog sticks.
If they do that, that'll be one sale they didn't get last time around, so already the PSP2'll potentially be more successful! Beyond that, everything else is icing.
This rant is unrealistic to the point of being ridiculous. Is he serious?
This: "I understand that developers want their games to stand out" is NOT the reason games have different control schemes! It's because some games allow you to perform different actions than others.
Some FPSs allow you to carry only two weapons, and maybe one piece of gear (like grenades). In those, you only need one swap button, and one button to use the gear. Others allo...
Wait... "More or less confirmed"?? O_O
My sanity has been hanging on by the thread that I'd be seeing this thing tomorrow--but it might not happen. :(
