I don't know what it is about this game. It's really interesting and all, but there's just too many amazing-looking FPSs coming out this year that this one just doesn't stand out as much.
Specifically: KZ3, Resistance 3, Rage, and Portal 2, for me, are more interesting than this one. And Crysis 2 is about on par with Brink for me, but that's another great FPS to add to the list this year.
Then there's U3, and SOCOM 4, which are third person but...

But he's like a freaking flying squirrel in this game--he falls really, REALLY, slowly. Also, doesn't he not suffer fall damage if you grapple onto the ground before hitting it? I bet if he'd pulled that stunt over ground, he could've just grappled down and walked away! Plus, there's gotta be some crater in the game that's bellow sea level, which would actually make the fall longer--highest...

Demon's Souls was definitely one of the best games this gen. That's why it sold a crap ton more than even the devs thought it would.
