Here's another completely unrelated statistic: by the time the PS3 launched the 360 had sold 6 mil units. What's your point??
Just because the 3DS's sold 1 mil already (hypothetically speaking) means absolutely nothing to the people waiting for NGP to launch.
My first reaction was to stop reading after the first few sentences. Am I seriously going to read an opinion piece by someone who doesn't understand that NGP is not the final name?
I should have stuck with my initial reaction and not read it.
I don't know how you ever got down to 1 bubble with great analogies like that! But bubs for you.
400*. :P
*Not a true conversion! But when are console prices ever true conversions? Some regions always get the shaft.
Fucking analysts.
I estimate it will cost between 1-500$.
You can quote me on that.
Geodouche.
That comment about Uncharted's gameplay feeling like playing Twister with your hands (probably more like bop-it, no? :P) is exactly what I was thinking when I watched the video. My impression was that the game felt shoehorned onto the console, and that some of the input systems were used in a redundant fashion. But, given a bit of time, I can't wait to see what great games devs come up with having all those input possibilities at their disposal.
Dual analog, touch scr...
I don't care how much it costs, I'm buying it no matter what.
(Also, they didn't give an estimate, buy Sony said it would be "affordable". They'll probably sell it at a loss.)
I'm in love.
@pedrami
I think even if they start off with the intention of shoehorning their existing IPs on this thing, they will have a hard time resisting the urge to take advantage of all these input possibilities!
I mean: dual cameras, touch-screen and touch-pad on the back, and finally dual analog sticks, GPS, motion sensors, etc.--so many inputs!! There's no way they could port something on this thing and not manage to make it feel unique on it.
The NGP in that thumbnail used to be black... But it got me over-excited.
A touch panel on the back? There you go Sony, finally thinking outside the box! I'm so excited for this! I'm getting this FOR SURE.
GT5's fun is about handling the difficulty that comes with racing cars that behave very closely to their real-life counterparts. That's called: a challenge. Only n00bs don't enjoy a challenge. This Abney guy is a nub.
ffs maybe I'm really retarded, but I don't see how cartridges would NOT make it bigger. Unless they use the same slot as the flash memory sticks then that's one more card slot, which makes it bigger. One of us is retarded here... Maybe it's me, but I don't see it.
Just watched the teaser... "Choose your side", persistent, team-based, massively multiplayer shooter--hmm, wonder what game that reminds me of. Of course, as ALWAYS when that game is concerned, it's never credited in any way shape or form in any articles... It's a terrible shame that it's the most underrated game this gen. I hope in the future it gets the credit it deserves. Zipper definitely deserve it.
Sure, I didn't say people shouldn't like Forza. And I won't argue with you on trying games for yourself to make your own opinion, especially with the crap journalists we have this gen.
But some things you just don't argue against; like that GT is the king of racing games. But of course fanboys of other games/ consoles will think it's just PS3/ GT fanboy talk, so they'll go on ignoring how great GT is.
Is that a joke? Also, are you the one who disagreed with me?
Whether it has a disc drive or not, it's OBVIOUSLY going to have either internal memory (at least some) AND a memory card slot already. So a disc drive would automatically be extra = make it bigger. Especially if you factor in the space needed to haul those games on DISCS.
Can't believe I had to explain that.
I'd be happy if it was DD only. No drive = smaller...
The only ones who think the PSP didn't do well are the media. Idiots.
Go ahead, KEEP repeating the same thing you've been saying since the handheld's launch--maybe someone will eventually believe you, even if it's after its successor's been launched.
Way to completely miss my point.
