For FPSs this year I'm interested in Killzone 3 and Resistance 3 first and foremost. Then there's Portal 2, Brink, Rage, and Crysis 2 that'll have to battle it out for a purchase.
Bulletstorm and Homefront don't interest me AT ALL.
A shiver? How about a shudder. GTAIV was a lot more of what gaming SHOULDN't be than what it should. If it weren't for its solid predecessors the game would have got much harder criticism. The protagonist was a whiny bitch, the story was boring and just dragged on, the world was a step back from what we'd gotten in the previous iteration, and the gameplay... Let's just say it was BAD and leave it at that (cover mechanics, lock-on mechanics, melee combat, retarded control schem...
It's a functional name, yes, but I think the problem is that it's just not catchy. "iPod", "Wii", "DS", "Xbox"; they're a lot more catchy than "PlayStation Portable 2". Me, I don't give a damn what it's called, I'll buy one. But for word of mouth viral advertising, a catchy name would help a lot.
Only reason I skipped PSP was because it only had one analog stick. Safe to say the NGP offers what I want, and more!
Studio Ghibly "look"? I thought the studio was directly involved in the production of the game? Was the main reason I was interested in this to begin with--I love Studio Ghibli!
Seriously, WKC took WAY too long to get ported to North America. The wait completely killed my interest in the game. I hope they learn this time around and bring it over sooner.

I think you got it backwards! The 3DS's only appeal over the DS is the 3D--graphics. The NGP, on the other hand, offers a slew of new input devices, and that's why I personally think it'll be a winner.
The touch-screen, touch-pad on the back, motion sensors, dual analog, etc. will really allow devs to make unique games for it. And just by adding all these input methods proves Sony isn't focusing only on graphics, but rather on makin...

If it's on PS3 and everyone's using a controller, then I dominate because over the years I've become extremely proficient with dual analog sticks. The people getting owned have no right to complain because they're using the same exact input method as me. All they have to do is get good, like I did.
But if people start using crutches like the Eagle Eye...
I plan on using this thing on the go--i.e.: where I *won't* have a TV to hook it up to.
If I'm at home, then I'll just play my PS3 on my TV, not my NGP. Maybe plug it in to watch a movie, but why? Again I'll either use my PS3 or, better, my laptop.
I'm sure some nit-pickers will find reasons to complain about this, but I wouldn't use a TV out on this thing.
