I DEMAND the title be changed. Slant Six is NOT THE Socom developer--that's Zipper. /6 are the ones who dirtied the IP's reputation. Hopefully they won't affect Socom 4's sales.
As long as your theory revolves around how poor psychology research regarding the effects of video games on its players is, then yes you've got a shit-ton of material.
Nobody said anything about being *better* with it. I just want to see if it's more fun.
And you believe the casuals, who are attracted by motion controls, give a damn about being good?? Hell no! They probably don't even know the PS3 has a motion controller, or they've seen the package in the store, or some commercials, but they wouldn't even consider buying it because they have no clue how it plays.
If Sony would just get some Moves into peopl...
Now if only Sony would put Killzone 3 and Move demo kiosks in stores... That could be a HUGE boost to sales--of either or both.
QQ some more fuck.
"I’m writing primarily about console games; I know install times are old hat for PC gamers." So it's ok for PC games to have install times, but not consoles?
I'd rather sit through an install once (correction: go do something else for 30 mins while the game installs) and have shorter load times and better performance forever after, than have to suffer longer loads every time.
300,000 in the US alone sounds pretty damn good considering the PSP sells a lot more software in Japan--and it's KH we're talking about. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold over 1 mil worldwide, and isn't that the "milestone" these days that decides whether a game was a success?
These sales articles are pathetic. "Spin, spin, spin."
@Dave:
My card info is saved on PSN, but every time I make a purchase it asks for my password before confirming. I don't know if you need to enable that in the options, but maybe you should look into it if it troubles you.
Or you could just complain about it on N4G before checking if it's just you who hasn't secured your account...
Let me answer your question with another question:
WHO GIVES A SHIT?
I'll be enjoying my NGP, I'm sure there'll be more good games for it than I can play, so other than that I really don't care how it stacks up against the 3DS.
Nothing was overshadowing this for me! It's been a long time since I've played SOCOM, but MAG definitely restored my faith in Zipper. I know the gameplay and shooting mechanics are going to be tight.
I'd like to see a more tactical mode than suppression though... Show me some objectives!
I'm more of a completist, I think. Whereas a trophy whore would play *tons* of games and just amass trophies, I just try to complete all my games as much as possible.
And the disagreers are retarded in this thread.
Oh, except for Terminator! That one's a bit embarrassing...
I'd love to see that. PICS, maybe?

MAG does NOT look "ugly-PS2 level".
Thankfully we have the in-game screenshot feature now to prove it.

@Dart:
You missed out bud, should've got MAG a year ago. I played it for almost an entire year, it was amazing--best multiplayer experience I ever had. But with the player base diminishing (which is normal of any game over time) too many servers are being shut down and the game is laggy now. There used to be absolutely no lag, even in 256 player matches, but now there's lag in every game and freezing is frequent.
The framerate is mostly constant, but ...
@Istanbull
Yup, the author really needs to learn the definition of "over-powered" (commonly abbreviated as OP), especially in a multiplayer game setting...
Who am I kidding? This is Modern Warfare we're talking about. These kids *beg* for OP guns. God forbid they'd have to learn to aim and hit more that one shot to kill an enemy. Every MP FPS I play has some kids crying on the forums that it takes too many bullets to kill. *facepalm: go back...
Uh... Am I retarded, or was Heavenly Sword not also a new IP?? Why are people saying Enslaved sold poorer because of that when they're both new IPs?!
Sony fanboys supported Heavenly Sword because it was exclusive. We gave Ninja Theory 1.7 mil sales because they gave us an exclusive. Then they turned around and spat in our faces. So we didn't support Enslaved.
Learn to count, buddy.
Got my PS3 November 2006. That's 4 years.
Also, some of us have other important things to spend time and money on--like university, and athletic pursuits.
Sorry the number of games I've purchased doesn't live up to your standards. Actually no, I'm not. Gtfo troll.
I stopped reading at "Enslaved". What the FUCK is up with all the articles on this game? IT WASN'T GOOD. THAT'S WHY WE DIDN'T BUY IT. END OF STORY. Not because we don't like to support new IPs. LOTS of new IPs have sold VERY well this gen, but this fucking one didn't... Because it SUCKED. Now, PLEASE, "video game journalists" STOP BRINGING IT UP.
I consider myself a hardcore gamer. I've bought about 20 games so far this gen, and abo...
I didn't buy a PS3 to play DC games.

Well, not "easier", since the difficulty increased each time you started a new game on the same file, just that the difficulty jump each time was less significant than the one from NG to NG+.
Also you became more and more familiar with the game, which made it easier, and after a few NG+s you got to the point where your soul level could actually make you OP--at 190+SL, the game's a lot easier! :P
Not bad...

But what I really want is THESE GUYS ^^^ to make a PS3 controller. WHY 360, huh? I want a serious FPS controller for PS3.
