And that's the *real* problem with DmC.
Emo Dante is a slap in the face, but would be an easy fix.
Capcom handing over the reins to Ninja Theory, though, that was a huge mistake and Capcom's not likely to go back on it.
Devil May Cry is dead.
You're looking at the art the wrong way. Sure, more detail requires more talent, but less detail often implies more thought. (Not always, for sure, but for the great artists it does.)
With impressively detailed art, it's usually just a lifelike-looking picture. Not much interpretation required of the viewer. But when there's less detail the artist probably wanted to convey a message or thought, and as the viewer you can interpret it--or not. It's like literatu...
I kind of don't care at all about the box art.
Honestly, the box could be blank and I wouldn't care. It's the game that matters--the box is meaningless to me.
(But the R3 one is pretty cool... Did you see the poster? Has Capelli walking toward the skull/NY silhouette, it's even better than the cover!)
I'm no physicist... But wouldn't a fat chick fall at the same speed as a thin chick?
Meanwhile, the American Apparel ads to the right are flashing 5 women's nipples at me... If women aren't objects in games, then AA's marketing team are taking the wrong approach. But I think they're onto something...
"But inFamous and Little Big Planet? Come on...Dead Nation? Please go"
I don't understand your complaint. inFamous is awesome, and LBP is critically acclaimed. I have both, but you don't hear me complaining about Sony's generous offer. I don't have Dead Nation, so I'll be happy to download that one.
Your idea about the first party greatest hits doesn't sound bad though.
It's PlayStation time, all the time!
No, not only. It plays all Android games, and will also have exclusive games made for "PlayStation Certified" devices (which also includes Sony's recently announced Android tablets).
@Flibble
I disagree. I hate it when I play a portable game that's part of a franchise and feel like it had no connections whatsoever with the main story. It feels like I wasted my time and money on something that was completely unrelated to what I was interested in to begin with.
The part of KZ's mp that Naughty Dog drew inspiration from has nothing to do with CoD. Read the article, it'll save me the explanation.
Agreed that it's definitely not impossible for InFamous 2 to rival Uncharted 2. Both are completely different games, so all InFamous has to do is be equally good in its own genre as Uncharted is.
Don't agree on the replay value of InFamous 1, because once I'd got the platinum I felt absolutely no compulsion to return to it. But InFamous 2 has the mission editor, so there's huge potential for replay value there.
@news4geeks:
I'm sure you'll get your bubbles back in no time with comments like that.
The REASON it's acceptable for Starhawk to have a short single player campaign, is because it's primarily a multiplayer game. Just like if MAG had had single player tacked on. Even if it'd been 5-8 hours, I still poured over 250 hours playing that game online, so a short campaign wouldn't have bothered me.
It has nothing to do with t...
Agreed. I think it was tacked on more for the sake of showing you the ropes. It'll be a sort of glorified tutorial to get you into multiplayer.
With the new mechanics they've introduced, I think it's great they're doing it this way. Wouldn't want so many noobs playing online and having no idea what to do... (CoughMAGcough!)
Meh, it's just the internet after all, no need to call the grammar police...
Is "Inposters" some sort of pun I'm not getting?
Fox News fails so hard.
Uh, wtf? The cover system was the WORST thing about R6:V. Author must be a huge FPS noob to think this is a good thing: "Being able to survey the battlefield from behind cover was incredibly satisfying and straightforward."
Right, so you're walking down a hallway, in first-person perspective, but little do you know someone is camping at the end of that hall. He's safely in cover around the corner, and he can SEE you coming because HIS perspective is in the t...
lol
Don't even say that! I'm seeing shadows in my room right now just thinking about it. :S
