Really, the post isn't blaming gaming? Let me just quote... YOUR headline:
"gamer dies from too much gaming"
How many "articles" on N4G have this exact title? It's getting really annoying...
No need to get so upset about it...
The really sad part about qwerty's comment is that he's not even trying to troll... He's being serious. Some people really need to get a life. :/
Who says casual games are easy? "Casual" is just another way of saying "accessible". Any casual game, pushed to its limits, will be difficult, of course. And just because it's hard, doesn't mean it's for core gamers.
A quick visit to youtube tells me this is a "racing game" for the casual crowd. Nice art style, but I wouldn't spend more than 5 minutes playing this.
I'd hate to sound like an asshole, but anyone who can't wrap their heads around a simple system like FF8's junction, shouldn't be playing RPGs.
"Didn't know"? The junction system in FF8 was very easy to take advantage of, and made the game a breeze! Don't get me wrong, I love the hell out of FF8 (may be my favorite FF game, actually) but it was way too easy!
I don't disagree with what you said (the boss is the False King though, no?) but even though Demon's Souls is a hard game on the whole, I found its bosses weren't particularly hard themselves. Getting through the level was often harder than the boss itself!
(I have the DS platinum, btw, before anyone wants to instantly disagree with me.)
Edit: I just remembered the Flamelurker--f***ing bastard! That guy was a pain in the dick on the second playthr...
@Troll:
Ok, clearly it was my fault--I shouldn't have fed you to begin with.
@Loc0:
Go through my ENTIRE comment history RIGHT NOW and find a single bad word I EVER said against Cliffy. Go ahead, I dare you--you won't find a SINGLE one. So don't come preaching.
Correction: PSP has PLENTY of awesome titles.
The PS Vita's market is completely separate from the casual gaming market. There is absolutely no reason why Sony would need to try and capture some of the casual audience for the PS Vita. They cater to the core gamers, and we support them.
The guy who created Twisted Metal and God of War lacks competence and vision?

lol
You'd think so, but that didn't stop the Wii from being extremely successful.
@Ara:
As you said yourself, that complaint has nothing to do with the PSP.
Wtf, you people clearly haven't played this game on PSP. It's absolutely amazing on the handheld, and I wasn't even interested in the console version.
All you bashing this game need to give it a try or just shut up, because the game is as good as it would have been on the PS3.
If you look at it from a business point of view, Volition need to be saying this though! Ubisoft is a huge company, so a new console wouldn't hurt them as much as a smaller dev. New consoles are a huge risk and investment for devs--new engines, new tech from scratch. Whereas the current consoles are well established now, it doesn't cost as much for a dev to make a game anymore and the gains are much more than they were when the consoles were launched.
Hmmm... New Nintendo console on the horizon vs Nintendo's flagship fighting franchise.
I'm sure fans won't have to wait very long for the next iteration.
I think it'll be funny a decade from now to play this game again, but try and completely forget that it was released in 2011. Let's all pretend it was released 7 years ago or so!
For me, the turnaround started at the beginning of the current console gen. My perception is probably skewed by a bit of fanboyism, but would many disagree with me if I said that the PS2 is really where Capcom hit their stride? My perception, anyway, was that it's on the PS1 and PS2 that Capcom got huge, and then when the PS3 wasn't even out yet, they started screwing Sony's fanbase over.
It started with 360-exclusive new IPs, Dead Rising and Lost Planet, at a tim...
