Felt more like another Bad Company game to me. But I played the PS3 beta. I'm sure with the extra scale it's an entirely different game, but I'm underwhelmed with the console version.
I think they could've been more generous with extra included content for a port of a year old game. 1 of the 5 DLC stages and 2 of 6 characters isn't much consolation for the wait. Maybe I'll pick it up if it ever goes on sale.
Thanks for pointing that out. I hadn't noticed the source link at the bottom of the page (no sarcasm). I'll check it out now.
It's a valid point, but since when have indie games pushed hardware specs? Braid has a beautiful art style, and is a fun and interesting game, but it doesn't exactly take a beast to run. I don't know what he's working on now, but most indie games I've seen would easily work on consoles, and I'd be happy to buy them if they were ported.
Your post is not a reply to mine.
Where do I say it's an unfair advantage? Nowhere. That's because I don't play CoD, so I don't know whether gaining XP faster would put others at a disadvantage.
My point is different altogether.
Best TV show ever.
lol go Forbes!
Author of the piece over on vgw is, in my opinion, too biased, since he's himself both addicted to the concerned products and a CoD player. Get me a fan of CoD who hates these products, and I'm sure he'll be singing a different tune.
Only letting one console at a time play a game that was shared doesn't sound unfair to me.
If I buy a game on a disc, I can share it with friends. We can't both play the disc at the same time though.
The problem comes in when you consider how they'd go about limiting the number of consoles that can play the game simultaneously. Always-online is the only way I can think of, and I think that's an unacceptable form of DRM. So it's a tricky qu...
DUH
Not looney; greedy.
Nah, I don't think so. It's like the book market: publishers release books in hardcover first, so all the early adopters pay the high price. Then they re-released them as paperback, and those who waited get the same book for cheaper. Sometimes they're re-released with extra content, too. Hasn't stopped people from buying books.
I don't like Capcom's way of re-releasing all their games, but they wouldn't be the first to adopt that business model, an...
@Winter
Agreed.
I felt bad for every magnificent colossi I killed. They were peaceful, and seemed like godly and irreplaceable creatures. Killing them seemed like a huge sin in itself, let alone wiping all of them from existence forevermore to save one mortal woman. Yet I did it, because Wander's self-sacrifice was noble.
I can't think of any other game, so minimalist in story, that could tell so much with its actions. SotC underrated...
Author fails because he thinks he's smarter than he is.
The author doesn't realize that some games let you play the story the way you want, and others want you to play out the character's story the way it's meant to be. SotC is the latter. So, despite the fact that the author of the opinion piece realizes Wander is causing himself harm, he failed to grasp both the fundamental concepts that:
1- Wander's desire to rescue Mono is greater than...
You can! It's on the Store.
Edit: and it's still great. I recommend it.
Unless you're playing on Titan difficulty... then that creates all new pressures!
Well, worse comes to worse, 20 years from now he can at least say he got a mobius band tattoo, and omit the part about it being the OnLive logo. I'm reminded of someone who got the Razer logo tattooed... Don't know what he's going to say 20 years from now!
What are you talking about? Pale skin shows the tattoo through more, with less color loss. Obviously some people get *ugly* tattoos, that's a different story. Don't get one with ugly colors, that's all.
That's why I wrote it in caps. ;)
People who don't know how to use something, shouldn't complain that it isn't working right. Otherwise they risk looking very stupid when they're told the problem is them, not the update process!
ffs, if you want to play "right this very second" then cancel the update and go straight to single player. YOU CAN DO THAT.
But if you wanted to jump right into multiplayer, then tough. What did you want the dev to do; ask you what time would be convenient for you to update so they could wait before fixing game issues?
Either way, grow up.
Not just the Forza fans. I reported it because he makes the PS3 community look bad.
