I got it a few weeks ago. The game was 20$, and all the DLCs bundled were on sale 10$. So I got it all for 30$.
For a review that gave the game one of its lowest scores, there's a lot of errors.
-Capelli isn't *new*, it's just the first time he steps in the lead role.
-Capelli doesn't "carry the antidote to the chimera virus".
-You can easily check your weapon's level progress by highlighting it right in the weapons wheel.
-I've never had an NPC get stuck in the scenery and prevent the story from progr...
I agree. The system just got so much hate when it was revealed (what a surprise, right?), but I always thought it was great. It's dirt-cheap, and just gets rid of practically useless features. I never use the Wi-Fi on my PSP, and I almost always play with earphones.
Not a big fan of AC myself. I find the gameplay too automatic for my tastes (hold the block button and you're untouchable until you find your opening to parry; auto parkouring and jumping, etc.) and the end of AC2 made me want to slap someone in the face very hard. It just got more and more retarded. Also, I don't like the whole animus story. I'd prefer it if they just ditched it altogether and just focused on the stories of the time periods the actual game takes place.

The Slim's not all bad. It's even quieter than the fat was. But I do miss my backwards compatibility.
Yeah, that free guide's going to come in handy.
MUST there be an ad on every fucking slide? God damn that's annoying.
The game's a no-brainer though: get it!
Yup, problem is the mentality.
For some reason, noobs have got it in their heads that what makes a good player is a good K/D in your stats page, when that's not even half the story.
What makes a good player is someone who goes for the objectives, gets a high K/M ratio, and still has a high K/D ratio. Kills per minute, to me, says a lot more about a player than K/D. I don't give a shit if someone has a high kill/death ratio if he only averages 3 kills ...
Yea, but you're supposed to ignore these people, not answer their question then insult them. Someone in PR should definitely know this.
Castlevania SoTN: Red Rust sword! Completely useless.
I would've used them a couple times to stake out some wanted gangs, to figure out how many people I had to kill before I could lasso the wanted one, and how many horses he had and where they were, so I could make sure he didn't try to get away. Could have been useful, or at least given me a bit of fun! But you get them so damn LATE in the game, that there's nowhere to use them anymore. You use them once, and that's where the game forces you to.
That's what...
I rarely ever use flame throwers in games, because they've let me down time and time again. So I can't think of a single game where they were actually effective. Either they lack the damage, the range, the spread, the stopping power (they hurt but they don't stop your enemy advancing on you), or they (and this actually happens more often than it should) set yourself on fire! I just avoid them...
@King
Yeah, and FFX is one of my favorites in the series... I'm guessing you haven't played FFX-2?
I don't recommend it.
For some reason, I find it hard to imagine SE is working harder on XIII-2 than they did on X-2...
@Muffins
I agree. Still, I was going to say they could definitely do better with the console hardware... But then I remembered it's a 20$ downloadable title.
Don't know about you, but I'll cut them some slack.
This is probably going to confuse the consumers even more. So their previous portable console was called the DS, then they released their new console, named the 3DS. Doesn't sound like a new console to your average consumer, a revision maybe. And now they release new colors for their previous console, which essentially makes this the newest "DS"-named console on the shelves... Sure, we know what's going on, but I doubt your average consumer does!
I don't...
Or the weather: Cloud, Squall, Lightning...
DD is one thing, but cloud is another step further.
I like owning my games on discs, but I'm not against downloading them either for the convenience. For my PSP Go, I like not having to carry UMDs, and on PS3 I like having so many games at my disposition without having to swap discs.
But even though you only own a digital copy with DD, at least you own something. With Cloud, you don't have the game in any form unless you're connected to the intern...
I think we're all just forgetting what it is we're talking about here: a gaming console.
For getting me from my games, to the social options, system settings, media, and to the store, the XMB couldn't really be more functional. And that's all I want: functionality. It could look prettier, sure, but why? I can't see it getting dramatically more user-friendly, since it's already pretty damn good at that, especially when you consider it's just a conso...
I only have about 20 or so albums on there so I don't have that problem, but have you tried sorting your library differently? By pushing the square button you should get different sorting options, maybe there'll be a better one for you. (If you already tried, don't be offended I suggested it! Some users actually don't know that...)
I looked at bestbuy just now and it's back to 40$. And the DLC bundle was also 50% off I think. You're looking at 60$ for the package now, so I guess the GOTY is a good deal if you missed out on the perfect timing of sales I took advantage of!
