She certainly has the makings of one! I could see her being a villain after U2. Not the lead though--doesn't have that strong an evil will, but someone who goes along.
Nope, that doesn't make you an addict. Unless the reason you have nothing else to do than game is because you blew everything else off... then maybe you are!
But I'm like you: I play a lot because I have nothing else to do in those moments. Some people around me thought I was addicted, but I proved to myself that I'm not when I went away for 6 months this year without my PS3. I didn't even miss it. When I got back, I didn't even touch it for a week before ...
Huh, this one was actually more of a real review than a satire! I usually watch these jut for the entertainment factor, but he made some good points in this one.
Case in point: I hate when games give you the option to invest all your levels in hacking (or "charm" if it's a fantasy game), sneaking, or other non-combat skills, then they put you up against a boss that can't be taken down using any of these skills you wasted your points into. There's a reaso...
@Nirwanda:
I disagree.
In your very own example you showed that the new IP was screwed over by used game sales, and that the SEQUEL benefited. What if there'd never been a sequel because the sales of the original were too few?
There's so many articles going around now saying how new IPs aren't being supported and all, you just told us why.
So tell me, you'd rather help out devs that pump out sequels than thos...
Wow I can't believe the disagrees I got.
So you all think that seeing a car parked in a garage with pretty graphics adds to the gameplay of a racing game? It looks pretty, but you're not doing much and it sure isn't affecting how you race. Weather, on the other hand, DOES affect the gameplay, directly, by affecting the track.
Or are you disagreeing specifically with what I said? Because it's a direct quote from the article.
Ei...
I know they're not bluetooth. I didn't say they were, just that some other bt headsets I looked up were said to lag. I realize I could have phrased it more clearly, but you didn't answer my question at all.
I'm interested in a pair of wireless headphones for playing at night, especially if they're surround. But I wonder if they lag at all? I've read that some bluetooth headphones lag, which isn't a problem for music, but is a complete deal breaker for gaming. I wish the reviewer had mentioned this...
Sony head/earphones always do! They're amazing sound quality for their price.
Thanks for the video link--I haven't been in wonderment like that since childhood! I love studio Ghibli, hope Level 5 localize this one quickly.
You're all crazy--they both look awesome!
But why is the U3 one so expensive?
@dark:
As GT5 fans, we're fans of racing games. I can't speak for others, but I'm always interested in seeing what other racing series are doing. Same goes for other game genres.
Only fanboys aren't interested in the competition.
He thinks Autovista adds more to the gameplay than weather?? Sure...
Don't know... I agree and disagree! In the software business, if you wait until your product is perfect until releasing it, then it'll be obsolete by the time you do. And as much as I want games to get all the polish they can get, delays are sometimes hard to bear!
But for a single player game I agree that a little more QA wouldn't hurt. Can you just imagine the people playing this who aren't online? They're not going to benefit from those fixes.
...
I know what you mean. For me, gameplay is more important that graphics. I'd even say story is, too.
But I think it was just a trick question. Obviously, if you're going to make an open-world game of that type, most of your resources are going to be devoted to making the world (which is what Kobayashi was trying to say, I think, instead of just "graphics") because there's more to be done than in other genres.
I just hope this doesn't ...
If you were being sarcastic, I didn't detect it...
But there's only one thing that makes a hardcore FPS:
It requires and rewards skill.
Aim assist (auto-aim in the case of CoD) does not require skill, and evens out the playing field by helping out noobs and taking away the skilled player's advantage. Same goes for any number of gameplay mechanics that can be implemented.
Another example, in the case of CoD again, ...
@miDnIghtEr
The fanboys don't control the bubbles, mods do. You can blame "the fanboys" all you want, but in the end it's your own comments that cost you bubbles, not anyone else.
But go ahead, vote people up who deserve it, I do all the time. Don't be surprised to notice you're not making a difference though.
Edit: @Jack
He's only got one bubble, clearly it's not convenient!
That's no excuse to be blasting your rap music through your mic when you'll be playing this online! Just saying... :P
Make that two.
Or they just apply those terms to smaller devs who can be pushed around more easily.
If I remember correctly, the last article I read on the subject made it sound like it's a much bigger problem for the small devs.
Same here. I feel it adds nothing to the game, and I can't even stand the sound of it. For me, saving battery is just a positive side effect!
I don't mind the little bit of extra weight though.
