To be completely honest, all of my favourite games this generation have been multiplats. Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Bioshock, Red Dead Redemption, Assasin's Creed, Portal, Dead Space, etc. Some exclusives I liked also such as Left 4 Dead, Valkeria Chronicles and Demon's Souls and were really good but the supposed 'heavy hitters', Halo, Uncharted, Gears of War, Resistance, Fable, Metal gear were horribly over rated and hyped by both Sony/MS and their fanboys. In my opinion they...

Pachter was talking about December sales, this is only up to November. The December NPD hasn't been released yet.

Sony went from dominating the sector with about 75% marketshare with the ps2 to a loss of two thirds of the sector with the present 25% marketshare of the ps3. There's a reason Sony was so arrogant at the beginning of this generation and that's because in the business world it's nearly unheard of to loose that much of a sector in only one product cycle. The ps3 has had many great games and is a healthy platform but from a purely business standpoint, it's a disaster and will ...

"No more often then not people upgrade to larger aftermarket wheels which are heavier then stock wheels most of the time.."
Ummm... you are obviously talking about the street scene NOT the racing scene. Period.

"Only cars that come with stamped steel rims are the ones that would benefit from aftermarket aluminum wheels.. Car companies usually sinke alot of money, time, and research into developing wheels that offer good width for grip, torque for acc...

There are a number of reasons for changing rims other than a custom look although that in itself is reason enough for many. Stock rims are heavy, only wide enough to support the stock width of tire and often not strong enough to handle the rigors of racing.

You change the rim to reduce the weight of the vehicle, rotational inertia and unsprung weight. You change it to alter the offset and allow you to mount wider tires. You change it so you can mount a stronger more durable...

I imagine that MS, Sony and Nintendo will all say something like this until the reveal of their next gen offerings. If I hadn't bought at this point and I learned that 2012 a new xbox was launching I might just say screw it, I'll wait to the next gen.

If you don't have the know how to buy and assemble the components then any independent computer store will be happy to assemble a rig for you. And liquid cooled overclocked rigs are easier ti achieve than ever.

I don't know why this is so confusing to everyone.

Look, unless EVERY single retail store in the ENTIRE WORLD, no matter how small they are, regularly reports exactly how many consoles they have sold and how many they still have in stock on an ongoing basis directly to Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo then the numbers that Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo report are Shipped. Furthermore, consoles that are shipped from Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo were purchased by major retail...

Riiiight, we all KNOW the ps3 in japan is at the 7 or 8 million mark don't we? Except Media Create has the PS3 at 5.62M. VGChartz, btw, has the ps3 at 5.7M in Japan which is overtracking the ps3 sales. Your extremely accurate "sales data" of 7-8M for Japan is 25-40% higher than REALITY and WAAAY better than the inaccurate VGChartz estimates. I might add that NPD has the ps3 at 13.47M whereas VGChartz has it at 15.7M. But we all KNOW that VGChartz undertracks the PS3 in the US...

I don't know, nintendo was making money on the wii hardware from launch... 70 plus million consoles making a ton of money before a single game is sold is pretty impressive on it's own but when you throw on the fact that nintendo's first party software titles are outselling almost everything, well I'd say they are doing something right. Everybody else lost money at launch and for several years after on the hardware.

Umm... the cockpit view has been in video games loooooooooong before the Gran Turismo series even existed. Before the Playstation even existed actually. I guess Forza and Gran Turismo copied it from the same place then, huh?

Almost every site has it's own goty list but to me, it's the game critics awards goty that is the most prestigious. The judges come from 31 major gaming publications and all vote on the various categories.

the very next line after the list on that site contains this:

the 4GB size limit issue arises only if you're dumping the PlayStation 3 game to external HDD, and on internal PS3 HDD's all should work.

I despise piracy, many of my favourite studios are now gone because of it but I can see that this has the potential to be a very big problem for Sony.

There are many technical problems with 3d which are completely glassed over by people hyping 3D. The glasses are already tinted to begin with which reduces the brightness of your picture then the shutter action which is required for the 3d effect reduces the already dimmer picture by another 50%. Sure you get a 3D effect but the colours are muted, contrast is compressed and brightness is bleak at best. On top of this, the latency of LCD sets produce a ghosting artifact which is extremely i...
