This may have been acceptable practice for last gen but for nextgen it's unacceptable. Personally, I'm filing this one under rumour because it's basically an inconceivable option in my mind. All they talk about is 1080 this and 1080 that, they must be including atleast component.

Hmmm... as much as I'd like to believe in these lists, I know there will be titles pushed. Just like for the 360, when we get within about 2-3 weeks several titles will be delayed.
Heck, Fight Night Round 3 was already delayed from Nov.17 until Dec.12 and it's a port!

The ps3 may be coming out a year later but the Graphics Processor design was finalized waaaay back in summer 2005, before the 360's GPU btw.
The PS3 would have been able to launch at the same time as the 360 if they had used DVD.
The financial well-being of Sony is extremely important news if you are one of the people that are planning to purchase a ps3. Here are some of the more important reasons, if Sony is in financial peril:
-they will try and shave every cent off of their product in order to return to profit. I don't think I need to spell out what happens when you use cheap parts... the weakest link and all that.
-they will be less likely to honour/make it very difficult to process...
It's interesting that the 360 is the least liked platform to develop for but 'ease of development' is almost it's most popular feature...

There is a grey line there though, games like cloning clyde for example are pretty in depth and I've spent about 20+ hours and counting on geometry wars but completed king kong in about 13 hours so which one do I call a 'real' game? Sweeney said multi processor setups were twice as expensive to develop for vs single cores (ie dual/quad core pc, 360) and cell is 5x more expensive.
If doubling the cost results in a $5-10 price hike then increasing cost by 5x will mean $15-25 increase or $75-85.
