TopGamer, you would be absolutely correct if we were talking about a 1080p60 source (1920x1080, 60 frames per second) but we are talking about a film transfer which is 1080p24 (1920x1080, 24 frames per second). In this case a 1080i60 signal is able to fully transmit the 1080p24 source without any lost information.

It's true that there's a drive for content download but this is in the interest of the companies not the consumer. It gives them supreme control over the product, the greatest profit margin and a renewable product that they can sell over and over to the same consumer.
What happens when your hard drive craps out? Or you upgrade/trade in your 360/ps3 in a few years? Bye-bye downloaded media. Of course, I'm sure Sony/MS will be more than happy to re-sell you the download for you...

What I see is 39 pictures posted on Dec 1st ond out of those there are only 3 pictures that have an HUD on them and they are significantly different/degraded from the other 36 pictures which I can only assume have been taken out of a cut scene... Haven't we all been around long enough to NOT fall victim to these marketing techniques?

Between the ps3 and 360 I would say that the 360 looks better. The reason I say this is because I observe better black levels/shadow detail/lighting effects on the 360 and it has been consistent across all video comparisons I have seen so far. In every other way they seem to be identical.

I agree 100% yet Sony seems to be selling okay despite its western launch lineup so I would say brand loyalty plays a big part also.

Bluetooth and wifi interfere with each other. Sony approached the problem by using a timeshare technique where only one or the other is in use.
This is the reason that MS is using wifi and a proprietary wireless tech so they wouldn't run into the very issue this article is talking about...

It's weird, RR7 is one of the better sellers for the ps3. From what I have seen and read so far, RR7 and RR6 are virtually identical games but RR6 is one of the weakest selling titles on the 360... is the demographic for these two systems really that different?

The real question is 'Can Sony fix this in a timely manner?'. Sony displayed near 100% BC as a major feature so they need to fix this before things get worse in the community.
@1.1 tk - There are two major differences here,
First, MS never once promised 100% BC, they only promised they would work to get as many titles BC as possible. Sony did promise near 100% BC and it appears to be crap.
