If it was done from the ground up, like an actual remake is the SFX, animations, physics, and geometry would not be identical. It has the same clipping, the same same transitions in movement, and the exact same scripting from the boss that was shown. It's far too identical to be a ground-up remake.
They took the base game, cleaned it up and tweaked it and added a few additional features. This is the same Wind Waker, with cleaned-up visuals and 1080p and redone lighting. T...
It's not a remake; they're not adding new levels and content like that. It's a remastered (HD) port, meaning it will have tweaks and improvements like this.
Excellent. I thought they stated otherwise before, but I'm not complaining!
Ugh, I've been dealing with these personal insults for stating my opinion like this a few times in the past week now... Why people gotta be so defensive?
WiiU is not capable of DX11 features; it's not built into the system. If DFC will use that tech on the PS4 and such, they will need to disable those graphical features and tone down some graphical aspects for the WiiU version. Same with other bits the PS4/X1 can handle that the WiiU can't.
I'...
How am I trying to start an argument? Was I insulting you? I was just providing my opiinion. Seriously, you're the one that needs get over themself.
It's nice to hear that Nintendo actually approached them. First, no less.
It shouldn't be an issue porting it to the Wii U, assuming they're using PC hardware as their base like most devs. Any DX11 tech and such can be scaled down for the Wii U using that framework.
Scratch that it isn't even episodic anymore. I need to keep up on my info!
This is what happens when you show people Rule 34 and they just assume it's official material.
People are using the word "remake" way too freely. This is a remastered HD port. A reamake requires an almost, if not completely new version of the game. This is Windwaker with 1080p, better lighting, and some small (but very convinient) gameplay and design tweaks. It's still the same base game in every way.
Huh, you're right. My bad, I thought it relaunched like a week ago.
^ Also yeah, if you can give Eternal Darkness a shot go for it. It's really bizzare and it screws with your head in ways I can't afford to spoil. A very unique horror title and there's nothing else like it even after all these years.
I'd attribue Dyack's last few flops mostly due to ambition without the resources and developement efficiency and talent to back it up. Believe me, I followed his very poor management and PR decisions. An episodic series might be good for his team.
But yeah, I second that all I care about is that the game looks good.
Keep in mind this may be good publicity, especiallly after the whole MGS5 thing. Hayter has fans and supporters, now more than ever. I suspect they'll get at least small boost in funding with this, honestly.
I know it's just a voice actor, but we all know there are at least a few people who will invest simply by that merit.
Edit: Was wrong. The funding is actually looking a bit hopeful, though not a guaranteed success from what I'm seeing on their page.
I hope this gets released. I know people don't like the guy heading it, but damn I want a new Eternal Darkness game. It can't be that easy to screw up (famous last words, right? :P).
Activision is one of those developers I've gotten to the point where I just can't bother to care about their products.
Still, it's nice to see support for the system.
Nope. Quit trolling. This entire situation is complete BS. The game has to cost more for the system it was originally built on, of all things. Not to mention the system it was delayed several times for the sake of these ports.
I'm not even a Wii U owner and can see how cheap this whole deal is. Just another example of this industry being run by moronic publishers. Assuming this is all accurate, of course.
Edit: It does not have excessive content. The only...
Console Wars Begin! People never learn, do they?
I'm interested to see how Sony will perform with PSN for the PS4. It certainly wasn't pretty on the PS3. Hopefully it's much improved, especially where download speeds are concerned.
Sci-fi always uses pseudo-science. It's part of the genre. Or are we really trying to scrutinize how quantam physics keep a balloon city afloat or the logic behind the existance of multiple universes and the fictional logic surrounding them? Infinite never once comes across as trying to be scientifically theoretic (otherwise it would have gone into much more detail regarding them, duh :P), but rather philisophic with these things. The original Bioshock was EXACTLY the same with its gene m...
The Oracle Duology.
Wind Waker.
Not the most conventional choices, but that's my opinion. It's hard to pick out the best because almost all of them are wonderful games in their own right. They really bring out that sense of thrilling adventure in you.
I shudder how convoluted the story is going to get at that point. Sora has like... 4 clones/look-a-likes now? Roxas, Xion, Vanitas, Ventus. His heart is like the KH bycicle. And the villain has like 13 clones now using time travel or something. Not to mention the insane amounts of retconning that happen in this series.
This may sound ridiculous, and it is, but it's actually accurate.
