I haven't been seeing much of that myself. I can safely say there's plenty of fawning and drooling over the PS4. Sometimes almost kissass-ish, if I'm being honest. That's what I've been noticing, anyway.
Not that I exactly blame them; it's got lots of good stuff coming up and is really the only console, upcoming or otherwise, that isn't severely fumbling at the moment.
Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider, Metal Gear Rising, and Fire Emblem were all great. Heck, all these games are. It's a been a pretty good 2013 so far.
It's great to see gamers still like to vent their issues with women whenever a news article resembling anything like this comes up. "Bros before hoes", ladydudes, ignoring the fact that female gamers exist, wishing Anita was dead, ect. Also bawwing like sheep with unfounded warnings and accusations of political correctness as some kind of public address. Every. Single. Time. *sigh* In all seriousness, it's absolutely pathetic. Can we ever maturely discuss these subjects inst...
Yeah. Not the people who think the combat looks varied, fast, and fun. Not the people who enjoyed Killer 7. Not the people who enjoy campy games with unique art styles and presentations.
Yup, just horny nerds. /sarcasm
Seriously, quit the arrogant and idiotic BS. The game does look good for fans of the genre and Suda's games. If you don't like them, then at least have the basic maturity and decency to be respectful to those who do.
@ DragonKnight
-Killing is natural for Joel, or did you miss his backstory? There's no reason to feel bad for 95% of the deaths they inflict, as the people they faced would have done even worse. A big reason he racks on Uncharted for that is because Drake is pit against mercs of other ethnic groups, just listen to his U3 review.
- Humanity is on the brink of extinction. Ever notice how there's big, unnotable gaps between the chapters? The chapters tak...
The legendaries in XY look pretty cool to me. Better than the last two gens whose legendaries were fixated on dragons of, all which kind of looked too similar.
Okay, perhaps that was a little harsh at the end.
But these "inb4haters" and "inb4fanboys" comments making rash generalizations and discouraging discussion are complete are drivel. They only serve to spark arguments.
Not everyone who disagrees with praises is a hater. Not everyone who disagrees with criticisms is an apologist. What's the point of mocking people in a prediction, anyway?
But a lot of the things he says don't make sense or ignore important details.
- He says the characters were unsympathetic because of their killcount, not even mentioning that they did it in self-defense (and can actually skip many encounters) and how they and their relationship ends up paying a price for their actions near the end. Joel didn't feel like he got off with no strings attatched in the end, I'll tell you that. Ellie also had to go through hell as a cons...
Yeah! Everyone who disagrees with criticisms is automatically fanboy apologist! It's totally different when criticisms are bombarded by actual fanboys. -_-
But this is N4G, mostly consisting of the double-standards of idiotic fanboys. Who am I to judge?
Witcher 3 is not 60FPS. It's "aiming" for 30, as the developer stated.
X and Bayonetta 2 and such looked great. It's not going to compare to games on next-gen specs, but it's still capable of rendering pretty visuals and hosting ambitious games.
I've yet to see anything in this next-gen tech that actually enhances the games beyond visuals. Horsepower doesn't equal quality; that lies in the designers and programmers' hands.
The Joker is mentally ill. He's a total psychopath. That diagnosis is entirely correct. Doesn't mean he shouldn't be slapped in the chair too, though. >_>
he thing about the Joker is that, different from the other villains, he's completely unredeemable. With most of the other villains you can at least see why they came to be what they are and some even driven by compassionate things, like Freeze with his wife. That's a big reason batman doesn't...
Does anyone actually care about realism in the nature and treatment of superpowered villains in Batman?
It's just a few optional costumes and an optional (and likely short) questline. It's fanservice, no different than a lot of things in XIV. Once the XIII series ends with LR I doubt this kind of presence she has with SE is going to continue.
I get people don't like XIII or Lightning's milking, but at the end of the day it's just a small cameo. Any drama over this is pointless and petty, but I guess that's just what fandom does.
Maybe th...
Every game makes you go from point A to B to progress and open-world games are no exception. You just get more empty space to screw around in.
GTAIV felt very "linear" when I'm being forced to return to the same locations and repeat the same tiresome mission designs (not to mention playing chauffeur constantly) over and over. And with no other option to push the game forward.
He can't wish for it to be ported to a particular system? Is that a crime against this stupid brand loyalty people are obsessed with?
It's not like he's wishing PS3 and Vita owners can't get it.
I wish the article title was a bit less out of context. I thought Ancel was referring to developing the game at all when I read this header. Thankfully he just meant for current-gen consoles.
Evidently people need need the caps lock to get their point across here. Also childish profanity and name-calling thus the poster directly above me. I think it's really STUPID. >_>
Anyway, I like Nintendo. They're pretty much the only big hardware developer out of the main three trying anything new with expanding the interactive capabilities of hardware these days. They did handheld-console connectivity, motion controls, dual screens, touch screens, ect. Then th...
Complaining about getting disagrees is immature nonsense. >_>
Maybe they *disagree* that the RE franchise it "dead"? I thought Revelations was really good on the 3DS. You have no right to berate others for having a different opinion and make such childish assumptions about them.
I was just about to say that. Pretty funny, isn't it?
