PC version of BF3 doesn't even support DX9/Win XP. Only DX10/11.
What it means is it is the first time a developer has made a DX10/11 ONLY game that DROPPED XP support and actually pushes PC gaming forward. It also means that the game should be able to get better visuals than DX9 would and run more efficiently as a result.
GR:AW2 is a good game, but the coop in those games felt barely better than bot matches, which isn't really a bad thing, it's just the kind of coop it has.
BF3 coop is similar to Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. It is a whole other campaign the runs along side the SP campaign. Perhaps DICE has done the same thing SC:CT did by having the two campaigns relate/interact with each other too.

There are games on PC beyond MMO and RTS. Adventure/puzzle game are still on PC more than consoles. Practically every FPS on console is PC as well as the superior version obviously, There are many racing titles. The only thing PC doesn't have are console exclusives.
There is more to gaming than the same exclusives on the consoles.

I run at 1080P 60FPS with everything at max (Yes I have a $1,400 rig, there is no game I can't play at max and 1080P)
The 1.4 and later patches made performance JUMP hugely.

That is probably a glitch due to your 580 having double the amount of VRAM the 580 normally has. I would bring it up with gainward since that card is not reference.

Hey, to be honest, GTA4 on PC now runs pretty good, they really did a HUGE jump in performance with patch 1.4 almost two years ago.
Also, they really let the engine go WAY further than what the console does, around 4x the amount of people, cars AND a draw distance that is just insane. Plus the lighting system has EVERY light cast a shadow, not just the sun and 1 or 2 lights when inside a building.

Seriously, then just don't game on PC then, stop making up numbers. I have an xbox, PS3 and PC. My PC looks WAY better than console games, even my uncharted 2 or killzone 3. Doesn't mean they are bad looking.

Oh yea, that too, you only have the ability to move around about 90 degrees or you have to redeploy the bipod.
The good part of bipod is much lower recoil and prolly no sway.
Downside is it takes time to setup the bipod, and once set you cant move, and then to move you have to pack it back up, similar to MG class in Day of Defeat.
Lol, I remember that, however, considering that Halo 2 was on a console that was DX8 and the PC version was no different besides res and AA and such, it was a pure marketing move and provided NO BENEFIT over DX8. It used practically nothing from DX10 to enhance the game. It didn't push PC gaming forward at all.
