LOL from article:

"We've already confirmed that Battlefield 3 runs at 30 frames per second on consoles as opposed to the PC's max of 60."

Really now? 60 Max? Games run at WHATEVER your PC can out put. Counter strike 1.6 literally runs at 1000+ FPS on my computer. Not to mention 3D gaming on PC that was done on shutter based glasses ran up to 120, so you could get 60FPS in 3D.

Your max FPS is limited by your system and displa...

PEOPLE, EDUCATE YOURSELVES.

OpenGL and DX are API's and there are different versions. A video card/GPU must have certain ABILITIES AND FEATURES to be compliant with higher versions of DX and OpenGL. Typically, a video card that supports DX9 (360) WILL ALSO WORK with OpenGL 2.0 (PS3, OpenGl ES 2.0 more specifically).

DX10=OpenGL 3.0
DX11=OpenGL 4.0

360 won't do opengl due to SOFTWARE (In other words, 360 is limited to DX9 due t...

@Frostypants

I think he is referring to how the Wii U only put in a DX10.1 card, which means it is limited to around OpenGL 3.0.

And what many people can't grasp is that the higher API's a video card can support (DX11 or OpenGL 4.0) this means they have more features and capabilities which meet the standards that DX11/OGL 4.0 requires...

Why do people think if you see PC footage, it MUST be at its highest settings? Do console-only gamers not realize that PC games can be scaled to different settings that can look drastically different?

Considering it is alpha and it appears all the have to control graphics is a single preset that doesn't work a lot of the time, that is why.

From what I hear, this alpha is about testing servers mostly, not so much for the users to talk about graphics bugs and so on, they don't need testers for that.

That truly is a bummer. Wish I knew more about how things are published in different territories and why they can't be aligned more.

Exactly what fireproof said, Dashboard runs at 720P at all times.

This just goes to show both the old video maker doesn't understand what is going on and neither do you Layproof.

What too many PS3 fanboys or just plain ignorant gamers can't seem to grasp is the 360 can only output 1080P through HDMI. This would then mean any of the very old 360's with no HDMI cannot play any of the few 1080P games on the 360 @ 1080P, such as:

Fifa...

Dude, gears 3 looks awesome, but it does not look better.

Epic said it DID run on 3 580s (I have seen nothing on what CPU, considering only 6 cores [non-server class] exist right now, your 8-12 is bogus, they aren't doing dual CPU unless you can provide a link). And they also commented that it was completely unoptimized. They went with brute force so they could create the demo sooner instead of just 1 580 and trying to toy with optimizations. Instead, they used the 3 580s...

FMV=Full motion video, meaning not real time. However, this is real time.

And texture pop-in is due to consoles and their limited memory, it is a way to get higher resolution textures. Happens in gears of war just like it does in killzone 3 and uncharted 2.

Considering we have never seen a NON-AA screenshot of GoW3, how do we know if it's blurring or not?

People never seem to have a screenshot comparison, they are just talking out their ass.

I second this IMMENSELY. Most so about Deus Ex. You have to play through the game and see what things are discussed about government, personal freedoms, "terrorism", corporations, philosophy, etc. Very deep game with FPS action, RPG character development and dialogue and multiple paths and outcomes, and even stealth elements. Best of all, you get to choose how you play, be it the more action/rambo style, stealth, social, hacking, etc.

Of all games I have played (sin...

If by restrictive, you mean that EA/Crytek (it's not known who exactly have done this) won't let Digital distributors sell DLC and instead wants to force the consumer to buy the DLC through Origin so that way even if their game sells on another digital distributor site, they get EVEN MORE than what they get from that distributor....

Anti-competitive to all hell and Valve (Not Steam, Steam is a service, not a person or company) is showing how it is anti-competitive and...
