Gave them a hit because the title up there is pretty funny.
GTAIV, easily. Though to be fair, I still liked playing it quite a bit.
But the journalistic gushing was INSANE for this game. It's not even the third best GTA game, much less one of the greatest games of all time.
Does anyone know if this is a port of the original Xbox version? Or at least if they're going to keep the co-op in? I'm really hoping for some co-op.
They said it looks about like it did on the highest PC settings...which is still pretty good. They still may be touching them up, but I think the real draw is going to be the value of it all. You get Doom 3, Resurrection of Evil, a new expansion mission, and both Doom 1 and 2.
And hopefully the version of Doom 3 included is a port of the original Xbox version so we get some co-op as well.
It's a product of the impressive presentation. After a while, you realize you've been playing a polished turd.
Not only is the author overlooking a ton (and I mean a TON) of developers and incredible games, but he's also pitting the United States' output against the output of...the REST OF THE GODDAMNED WORLD. I'm willing to admit that the rest of the world has probably given us more great games than the United States if he's willing to admit that the United States has easily come out with more great games than, say, Sweden.
Kran up there can try and convince everybody...
Exclusives tend to be my favorite games. So many times it seems like developers spread their resources too thin when they try to release their games on every current system.
In my honest opinion, exclusives have a loving touch that multiplat games lack most of the time. So as far as I'm concerned, yes I need exclusives.
^You just described pretty much the entire mainstream gaming industry these days.
....sadly.
Don't know why you got a disagree. It's a well-documented fact, not some baseless conjecture. Osamu Tezuka was directly influenced by Disney shorts and movies of the time. Even two very popular anime sub-genres, steampunk and cyberpunk, originated from Western literature.
Obviously it's become it's own unique entity at this point. No one is disputing Anime's diversity or authenticity, but both the West and the East seem to bounce influence back and forth a...
For some reason...those elves disturb me in a way I cannot fully describe.
While I totally agree that the overall experience between the games usually feels wholly unique, there are some...quirks that are becoming mainstays of the franchise that I think really, really need to go. Like the MIDI music. And the hand-holding. And the ever-increasingly obnoxious companions. And Nintendo's insistence on making Ganondorf the villain in EVERY SINGLE GAME.
Nothing that would really alter what it is known and loved for. Just the antiquated crap Nintendo h...
I don't understand...this is supposed to be a fighting game, isn't it? Why is every popular article ONLY about the boobies?
I like the boobies too, but that article about the critical system at the bottom of the page is at 0° and this one is on the front page, and people are STILL trying to tell me that it's a serious fighting game.
^Let them make it. I doubt it would appeal to anyone but the most idiotic "internet atheists" out there that seem to have adopted their beliefs simply as a reaction to being annoyed by fundamentalist christians.
I haven't touched the game since the RMAH started up. Even if I could make a few bucks off my stuff, I wouldn't feel right pumping money into that abomination.
Yeah, I'm with you. Still loved the game. Still loved the characters, but the plot was just...crazy to the point that it almost seemed like parody.
Those are big breasts, if you catch my meaning.
It's not like the franchise has much else going for it...
You know what girl gamers should REALLY be getting upset about? The fact that EVERY GODDAMNED TIME they get interviewed, the subject is going to revert back to the fact that they are....girl gamers.
I loved FFXII. It's one of my favorite games in the franchise.
Yes, XIII and *shivers* XIII-2 are...not the best games in the series, I'll admit, but the FF team can still bounce back.
In fact, I think they've expressed interest in getting the game back to it's roots, which is exactly what they need to do.
Yeah, it had a lot of little ones and one really big one. I think it's MORE than worth it's original $14.99 price tag.
