How...does a human being even make that noise?

In all seriousness...the novelty of Cards Against Humanity wore off very, very quickly and this just seems to be a reiteration of that shock-jock aesthetic.

And oh yeah, N4G is a VIDEO gaming website...

It's a shame too, because they could really do a lot of interesting things with that whole "corporation-run warfare" angle they have in the trailers.

But no...like most shooters these days, it's looking like all the effort is going to be put into letting players throw e-peens around online.

I don't mean to sound like I'm vindicating McHale's behavior (because he was truly one of the worst hosts ever), but the blame should not fall squarely on his shoulders. Aside from the inexcusably rude, off-the-wall interviews, all he really seemed to be doing the whole time was commenting on the ridiculousness of the show itself (like the sheet-metal furniture and the random chrome sports car that was inexplicably sitting on stage).

Everything about the show (asi...

Well, I don't know if I'd go THAT far, personally, but I do think it's easily the best entry in the past ten years or so.

Y....yeah?

Edit: strike that. I thought they were replacing units regardless of what method consumers chose, but theyre only repairing the units that are not double paid.

That IS pretty scummy.

Ok, just to be clear here:

Microsoft will pay for everything if you let them send you a coffin, send your old system to them, and THEN let them send you a new unit (and a free game). This is the standard method of exchange that is used for everything, and it would be ridiculous to assume anyone deserves more than that.

IF YOU DON'T WANT TO HAVE TO WAIT, then there is an option to pay for the new console to be shipped to you before you send your old consol...

No, it's poor design and cutting corners. I had a whopping FIVE 360's last gen. Three red rings of death (two of which were BRAND new systems) and one disc drive that literally ate my copy of GTAIV.

I had two bad PS3's. A fat one for overheating, despite the fact that I could not have had it in a more open environment, and then a Slim with a bad disc drive.

I even had a Wii with the defect that fries the GPU if you have WiiConnect24 on at all time...

It was just a stupid "get back in the kitchen" joke.

More offensive for being ridiculously overused than it is for it's inherent sexist qualities. I don't think there's a man in the world that hasn't made a "get back in the kitchen" joke before...

Wow...I guess I haven't been keeping up with the roster.

So...whose white leg is that in the shot with Marth laying on the ground?

4589d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

Nothing he mentions about the single player campaign is really that off-base. It's standard, fairly uninvolving, needlessly repetitive... and ridiculously pretty. He admits that it's a trend he does not care for in shooters these days (he even dropped CoD and Battlefield as examples).

I suppose how much enjoyment people get out of the game depends largely on whether or not they want to experience a beautiful shooter that is a competent retread of what has already been...

I'm going to be honest...I tuned into the SpikeTV presentation a few times throughout the night, and it just seemed like a shameless XboxOne commercial every time.

Which didn't make sense to me, because everyone at these events is already there to BUY an XboxOne. They didn't need to "sell" anyone on what they already knew they were purchasing at that point.

Yeah, I'm with you.

The only problem here is that "launches" are hyped as the most exciting times in a consoles life, but are ironically (and historically) some of the most boring times for consoles.

Excessively utilitarian commercials like this are the ones that I, personally, kind of tune out when they come on...

I know it's not designed for people like me, though.

^ I don't think it's unreasonable for people to prefer paying full price for a FINISHED game, as opposed to a slightly reduced price for the promise of a "finished" game at some undisclosed point in the future...

If you put aside the console war BS for just one moment, you'd understand that this is a bad precedent to set for the entire industry, not just a Microsoft system.

Well crap. Now where am I going to go to get pictures of CG panties...

Oh yeah...99% of the internet.

4597d ago 3 agree0 disagreeView comment

Well in all fairness, PS4 and WiiU fans are going to do the EXACT same thing to the Xbox One when the customer reviews start rolling in. You mentioned it yourself, in fact.

Not that this is a bad blog, but it's not really all that enlightening or insightful either. We've all known for some time that this is one of the inherent flaws of giving anyone with an internet connection a voice.

A lot of it's nostalgia, I think, but I agree with you.

Plus, with the internet came a much more focused gaming community...which as we all know is not the most calm or level-headed of communities out there.

For a while last generation, I didn't understand why I was getting so burnt out all the time, but taking a step back from the terrible state of gaming journalism and the constant barrage of idiocy from a good portion of the online community, has k...
