I don't think it was stupid, but...I'm just goddamn tired of hearing about Flappy Bird, even if it's for a joke.

I'm not acting like that...

I DID mention how stagnant the industry is, and yes, I would agree that FPS's are ridiculously derivative as well.

And yes, I was talking about MMORPG's, but I'm fairly certain you have the mental capacity to have deduced that.

I thought I was fairly clear in my response, but I hope this helped.

No, not really. MMO's seem to have taken "borrowing" to a whole different level than pretty much every other genre out there...which is saying a lot given how stagnant the industry is in general.

I just cannot get excited for this game. I am so tired of the generic MMO model at this point. A change here and a change there to the formula is not enough to do anything for me.

Yeah, I have no idea what they're talking about. It took me about 50 hours if I remember, and I don't think I came anywhere close to doing all the side stuff.

It's been a bittersweet experience playing through this game the last couple of days, for sure.

Having not even seen those videos since they were shown last year, I think it's very telling that I still thought the game looked and performed (aside from those couple of "trouble spots" in the first Dark Souls) significantly worse than the previous two games in the series, even without that recent frame of reference.

I will definitely be upgradi...

Aw sweet. Totally doesn't fit the trailer, but I love me some Tull.

After a couple of days, I'm realizing that there just might not be enough content. It's still a lot of fun, but I feel like in a couple of weeks or so I'm going to put it down and never look back.

It almost seems like they kept it very lean deliberately so they could...you know...bash us over the head with expensive dlc later.

^It is choppy, which is disappointing because several reviews claim that the framerate never drops below 30...which it clearly does...in the first five minutes of the game, no less.

Worse than that, though, is the stuttering issue I and many others seem to be having on occasion. It has led to my death a couple of times when I was trying to navigate some tricky ledges.

None of this is game-breaking in any way (my original statement still stands), but it's ...

I would recommend whichever version you can get the soonest. This game is epic.

You understand that calling something "pixel art" is about as vague as calling something "polygon art."

The PS4 version will supposedly have all the content that the PC version will have with the expansion.

In fact the PS3 version already had Loot 2.0 before the PC version was patched, and that is far and away the most important change to hit the game.

I really liked playing with the controller too (though I still prefer m/kb). It's going to be great on the PS4 if the PS3 version is any indication.

The ironic part about this is that the game still doesn't look BAD. It would not have been known for it's next-gen graphics, but there are plenty of games that succeed on completely separate merits.

But Ubisoft has now made it a "thing" because video gaming these days is apparently all about deceiving consumers into buying a product instead of making a product that they want to buy in the first place.

"Don't worry about the graphics"

Why do I get the feeling that we're not going to be seeing a whole lot more gameplay videos released officially by Ubisoft before the game comes out in May?

...and then big corporate sites like IGN and Gamespot telling us that "everything is OK!"

Apparently Infinite went through a development hell that was kept very hush-hush. It was actually in danger of being cancelled altogether at one point because they just could not get the money or time they needed to make the game they wanted to, but no one would report on it for whatever reason.

You can definitely tell it's not exactly what they originally envisioned (great as the game is) just by watching earlier footage of the game.

But did you play the greatest game of all time...

Michael Jordan: Chaos in the Windy City?

4486d ago 4 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, it truly was. I hate to play this card but...

I guess you had to have grown up during it's lifetime.

PS2 is easily my second favorite, though.

Don't be angry at heterosexual male gamers and developers because they want characters they can more easily relate to.

Yes, it is a shame that the gaming industry is structured in such a way that games that cater to those demographics are ridiculously difficult to develop for, and I think a good chunk of heterosexual male gamers would even support the idea of making that process more accessible, but it is unreasonable to assume that female and homosexual characters shoul...

No, you're not understanding. Most people are not fundamentally against digitial distribution. There would be quite a few benefits if it was done right.

But even if you wanted to ignore all the technological barriers that would currently keep the process from being completely seamless, you'd still have to deal with the fact that publishers (from any medium) have proven time and time again that they simply cannot be trusted ...

At the end of the day, it doesn't really matter. If the game is always online because it DOESN'T HAVE any real singleplayer options, or always online because of some completely misguided attempt at DRM.

People obviously want games that give you the option to be offline every once in a while, even if the focus is online multiplayer. I know I do.
