Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon should easily make that list, too.

"No. Lady Liberty. She taught me that winners...don't use drugs."

There is some priceless stuff in that game...
Yeah, the PS3 version really went a long way to recapture the feel of that original PSOne port. I hope this doesn't get misinterpreted as some kind of "console vs. PC" statement, but in all honesty, I liked the PS3 version better than the recently revamped PC version of the game.
I like both the control methods for different reasons, but the loot in the PS3 version still seemed to be handled much better than the latest version of loot 2.0 on PC. I hope it's...
I think people are missing the point here. Any game that is being RE-RELEASED should never be the same price as the original version. They are simply upgrading assets that people already paid full price for.
Whether or not it is good for people that haven't already played the game is irrelevant. I don't think anyone is disagreeing that those people should jump on this opportunity.
From a consumer standpoint, though, this is simply a pretense for publi...
Well, it's not necessarily JUST Youtube.
The point is that Nintendo, for all it's willingness to innovate technologically, still seems to be employing a group of hopelessly out of touch old geezers in their marketing and networking departments.
You combine things like their account-less online store, their Youtube policies, their archaic online multiplayer structure, and what you have is a recipe that almost always de-emphasizes the kind of digital co...
Hah. I remember Tommy. I loathed him back in the day because he hated on Morrowind, but now that I have a little perspective, I actually have a greater appreciation for the man (even though Morrowind is still my favorite Elder Scrolls game, haha).
Yeah, same here. I think I remember seeing that game on Greenlight, actually, and I just skipped over it because it looked well put together, but not like something I would want to play.
I'd say that the biggest problem with Greenlight is that it gives indie developers the false hope that their games are going to magically "take off."
Sometimes people just aren't interested in certain games.
Dude's just raging cause he couldn't get past the Asylum Demon.
Please...for the love of God. I don't care who does it.
Can someone PLEASE get the word out to all these morons that correlation does not imply causation?
^You mean as opposed to people spreading comments like "quite the wait for a few extra pixels"?
BiggCMan tackled it like a douche, but there are certain benefits to PC gaming over console gaming, mods being one of them.
There are advantages to console gaming too, so everyone just stop getting butt-hurt over nothing.
I think people are going to have to stop looking for straight up horror from larger mainstream games. Those days are long gone.
Wonderful as RE4 was, it changed the landscape of the entire genre. The indie market is the only place to get horror without COD-inspired action these days.
Haha, I laughed.
I guess some people have lost their sense of humor in light of all this console war BS.
Off topic here, but...
I was watching this trailer muted while listening to 'The Beginning is the End is the Beginning' by the Smashing Pumpkins, and that was a pretty badass mashup.
The only thing I like more in Skyrim is the world. Oblivion kind of just seems like England in the middle ages 90% of the time. Skyrim seems a little more..."fantasy" than historical, even though it's openly influenced by Norse culture. All that being said, though, Morrowind is easily the most creative of the three in that respect.
I'm with Massacred, I kinda like all the Elder Scrolls games for different reasons.
That's why I've never been a fan of MMO's, honestly.
RPG's are fun because they lend context and immersion to what really amounts to a bunch of repetitive tasks with tiny, incremental rewards. MMORPG's strip away all that context and immersion and bombard players with JUST the shallow, addictive bits. They are literally designed to get people addicted and playing for years at a time.
You have to understand that gamers are just as much the problem as the corporate shills. Basically, if a review doesn't read like a cheerleading routine for one team or the other, there will ALWAYS be a sizable group of individuals that will spout vitriol all over the individual who wrote it.
It's convenient to try and weigh all the blame on one side or the other, but the fact of the matter is corporate shenanigans will never go away because it (ironically) excretes a...
They all have a unique flavor to them. DS2 seems to put a bigger focus on sprawling exploration and narrative than the past two games. It's got probably the most impressive cast of any Souls game, and the most epic vistas and backstory.
I mean...a legendary King that went mad while warring with an army of vengeful giants from across the sea?
Goddamn epic, dude.
It's not necessarily the best Souls game in the gameplay department, but I...
Actually, the statement directly from the developers (and not Eurogamers "source") was:
"A developer is always challenged with creating the most rewarding gaming experience while delivering continuity in graphical quality, gameplay dynamics, and balance within the game. The final version of Dark Souls 2 displays the culmination of this delicate balance and we're very proud of the positive media and fan reception for the game."
So more ...
This is what fanboyism is, and no side is more in the right than the other, and there are no excuses to be made for either side.
One day, perhaps all gamers will unite in the realization that ALL big businesses are constantly trying to rape us hardcore. For now, though, the civil war continues.
Aw, cool. Didnt see this coming. I'll definitely be picking this one up.
This game still has the best campaign of any RTS I've ever played, as far as I'm concerned.
@tuglu_pati
I don't think he's looking for attention. I think he's just speaking from past experiences. DX iterations are ALWAYS fairly incremental upgrades. Necessary, sure, but they've never been the huge generational revolutions that they're almost always marketed as.
