He found out that Snape killed Dumbledore?
Well, plus this is Famitsu...
Holy shit. What is this music? Gave me goosebumps. Is the soundtrack remastered in this game!?
Probably not, but at the very least it makes me VERY excited for Skyward Sword, which will be the FIRST GODDAMNED ZELDA GAME TO BE ORCHESTRATED.
I've had the same problems with the game. I think the difference is that I think the rest of the game is so good that these "gaping" problems are just minor annoyances in what is otherwise an excellent game. It deserves all the praise it's getting.
Seriously though, people. Calm the hell down. The score may be lower than you agree with, but it's not as if he didn't outline his reasons. A score contrary to an aggregate average does NOT equal trolling....
Aha. No. I don't think so. Maybe if developers had done something more with motion controls this gen than just "waggle," I would think differently, but as it is, there is no single, shining example that demonstrates that motion controls are superior to analog controls.
Yeah, we all do it.
For instance I am going to lick that nine volt battery, woman oh yes. I want to get me some of that sweet tang and I don't mean the delicious mixable drink. I mean I am going to have sexual intercourse with her.
I'm not sure if it's actually anything, but Norton gave me a "suspicious page" notice when I followed the link.
I mean, I think it's one of the best examples of fantasy of any medium, really. I'm watching A Game of Thrones right now, and while I like it quite a bit, I keep thinking to myself how much more enthralled Dragon Age kept me. It's mature and forward thinking and intricate and well written and etc. etc.
It was just a great game. It really, REALLY disappointed me when Dragon Age 2 hit.
It's a ridiculous distinction, to be sure. You'd have to start arresting people for murder if you want to start making that distinction between 'real' and 'simulation.'
That being said, I will admit that there is a trend amongst Japanese developers to include fanservice that involves younger and younger girls in their games that is beginning to become a little...creepy.
If you collected a small squad of soldiers and put them all in a room, you're not going to get a room full of all bisexual soldiers. On the other hand, it's perfectly reasonable to expect a soldier or two to be gay.
It's like having a movie set in the 1940's and portraying every main protagonist as an open-minded, racially-sensitive individual. I mean yes it's "sensitive" to black people watching the movie, but it's sensitivity at the cost of...
Well that's what I meant, really. I've seen the PS3 version firsthand and I really, REALLY dislike the SSAO. I can't speak for the 360 version. It just LOOKED like it lacked SSAO.
I should have known better than to mention the other system and thus get myself involved in all this console-war backlash bullshit.
If I took out the "now I'm thinking I should have gotten the 360 version," would you all stop 'disagreeing' me to death?
Edit: and calling me a "faggot"? Jesus Christ.
That wasn't actually developed by Bethesda. That was Obsidian, who seems to have made a living out of making fun, yet inferior sequels to really high-profile games.
I'm so tired of this argument. A "realistic" style can be just as effective as more "artistic" styles and vice versa. Art style really depends on how you utilize it within the context of the game.
I was looking at a couple of these comparisons before the release, and I went ahead and bought the PS3 version because I thought it looked better. I gotta say, though, the SSAO is handled absolutely horribly in the PS3 version. It makes everything look like it's outlined in a shadow. Now I'm thinking I should have gotten the 360 version because it doesn't seem to use SSAO at all.
It was actually refreshing to have options for homosexual relationships in the first Dragon Age, but now it's turned into pandering. Now they have to actually adjust their vision to pander to a vocal minority that wants to be able to have sex with every supporting character in the game, context be damned. I'm sorry. It's just not right.
I'm all for portraying homosexuality maturely and accurately in videogames, but making everyone bisexual by default is NOT a...
Word to that, brother.
Oh my god, you guys. Did you even realize how insensitive this game was when you were playing it!?
FOX news needs to pick this up and give it the fair and thorough treatment they give all their stories. NO MORE ORPHANS WITH HURT FEELINGS, DAMMIT!
....when did Arcana Hearts 2 come out?
Yeah, it's supposed to be orchestrated. Miyamoto said in an interview that he didn't think they could do what they did with Galaxy and not do the same with Skyward Sword (when asked about whether the music will be orchestrated or midi). Very exciting.
