We just don't get to see sexy children showing off their panties often enough here in the West. AND they're cat-girls. That's just a good-idea wrapped in a great-idea right there. The Japanese are really good at appealing to my pedo-bestial urges.
I get the feeling that he's the kind of guy that wouldn't mind running a franchise deep, deep into the ground if it meant a bit more money, so I seriously doubt Gears is over with.
I gotta be honest. I see absolutely no difference whatsoever in the images provided. I'm usually pretty good at seeing this stuff, too.
He's talking about a penis.
Nintendo has made some absolutely terrible decisions with the 3DS, to be sure, but it's a great little piece of hardware. Nintendo has to deal with the waning 3D market (a product of poor foresight), but it's more than powerful enough for the HANDHELD market. For the life of me, I don't know why people all of the sudden started believing that handhelds have to match console-level graphics to succeed. It has never, EVER been like that.
As cool as the Vita is lookin...
Yeah, no one is impressed with the amount of time you're wasting playing a single game, Gabe. We were impressed with Half-Life and Half-Life 2. Why not keep going with that?
Lol. You guys have to realize that you're all going "emo" over Capcom making Dante emo.
It's Kotaku. The same site that did more to stir the hive during Sony's 'hack' fiasco than any other site out there...which is saying a lot.
I think it's safe to say that many of their editors are not huge fans of Sony.
That's what I want too. No one seems to care about context nowadays. It's always "I want it black," or "I want it white." Blah blah blah.
I'm with you. I just want an ending that is organic to the context through which the game has led us.
Well, to a certain degree I can understand trying to keep a bit of sex away from the kiddies, but nudity itself is not overtly sexual. A boob and a butt are not going to scar our children for life.
This guy hit the nail on the head. It's tied only with the second game for laughs as far as I'm concerned. Plus I totally agree about how well they handled the characters, Guybrush and Elaine in particular.
I mean yes, there were some trip-ups with the gameplay, but P&C adventure games are RARELY successful when they try to do things outside the standard "item-collection" puzzles. I don't know why this one in particular was received so terribly.
Seriously...this is actually one of the few Japanese titles we've gotten over here that handles sexuality with a degree of maturity. The advertising was terrible and gaming sites only reinforced the misconception that it was a raunchy sex-sim.
That is the definition of a review. That's what it is. You can get previews, interviews, screenshots and videos before these games are released if you are fundamentally opposed to reading an editors subjective review of the game.
Just for the record, I disagree with some of the scores these editors have been giving the game too, but to try and bring "objectivity" into the definition of a review is ridiculous. It's a critique, and therefore it is subject to e...
Valve got themselves into this in the first place. People have every right to be angry that this game is taking as long as it is (or being pushed to the back burner, more likely) when they left us with a HUGE cliffhanger in the second episode.
We're stuck smack dab in the middle of a story arc because they made the ridiculous decision to divide the franchise into episodes to begin with. Now instead of the quick resolution that another episode could provide, we've bee...
Ok. SSAO is officially one of my least favorite graphical techniques this gen. It makes all the people look like they're outlined in shadows.
Ugh. People really let nostalgia beat them over the head sometimes. I loved playing games growing up and I love playing games now. There are tons and TONS of incredible games being made nowadays. The magic hasn't left the industry.
I think it looks pretty good and the new guy doesn't offend me nearly as much as the rest of you. It's hard to believe how obnoxious you weeaboo nuts can be sometimes.
I absolutely, 100% support developers that don't want to hammer IP's into the ground. That DOESN'T mean I'm going to like every single new IP they develop, but it DOES mean that I am going to give all of them a chance.
I've liked all of Ninja Theory's games up to this point, so while I don't necessarily care for the new design of Dante, I'm more than willing to bet that he will fit snugly within the context of the game.
A fake Nariko in Enslaved? Jesus Christ. Heavenly Sword already wrapped itself up. It's not as if they left us all with a huge cliffhanger. If they don't feel like making an endless stream of sequels, then more power to them.
^The classic logical fallacy here is that my hypocrisy disproves or weakens the argument. It also requires that you assume quite a bit about me without having the slightest inkling of what you're talking about.
Yes, sequelitis is a rampant, damaging problem in the gaming world. Yes, it is a problem that I bring up often given the appropriate forum, regardless of the franchise.
I still enjoy sequels, just to be clear. It just makes me sad to see how steepe...
