Yes. This has been posted here many, many times before. It's very pretty. It's not what anything on consoles is going to look like for this generation.
Can we stop reporting on this now?
His shirt is a misnomer. It should say "tool."
Hehe, you're probably right.
I cannot BELIEVE how easily people are swayed by the fat cats when it comes to pre-owned games. You cannot pretend to practice and support capitalism, and then refuse to let consumers do what they will (within their legal rights) with the products they have purchased ownership of.
Why would greedy conglomerates NOT make bogus claims and cite iffy statistics when the pre-owned market is the perfect scape-goat with which to scam the industry into a more easily controllable, res...
I gotta say, I usually defend critics when they've simply given a game a lower score than the aggregate average, but this one...wow. It's been a long time since I've seen one this blatantly trollish.
It's not so much getting paid off (not that it doesn't happen) as it is the whole "courtesy" system. It's definitely not just the gaming industry, either.
Publishers dole out "courtesy" copies of their games to critical sites and magazines, usually much earlier than the street release. So in turn critics are expected to curb their reviews, sort of a return of that courtesy. It's why in basically any medium you explore, critical reception is...
Man, as much as I'm looking forward to those games, it's a little depressing that they're ALL sequels.
Yeah. Let's keep THAT going.
Good scores for U3 too. I don't know why everyone gets so out of shape over all this.
Just looks like a generic anime character now, huge tits and all.
Those three second-hand copies WERE ALREADY BOUGHT. They are secondhand because they have been PURCHASED. Where the hell do you think "used" games come from?
And no one said it was as bad as piracy. Fine, you didn't say that. But obviously you (and others) believe it presents a degree of justification for piracy, otherwise it would not be brought up every single time the topic arises.
First of all, EA did not make the monetary loss claim. It was the the author of the article.
Second of all, you would have to be a COMPLETE moron to convince yourself that the used game market is as harmful to the industry as pirating. Used games HAVE BEEN BOUGHT. There was an initial sale of the product, unlike with pirating. Then think about the fact that when used games are traded in, 9 out of 10 times that money is going....drum roll...toward more games. So cut all that b...
Sounds like kitty got wet to me.
I had a lot of fun "in the moment" with those two, but when I think of games that have made a huge lasting impression on me this generation, I have a hard time bringing them onto that list.
The most perfect games to me blend gameplay, presentation and story TOGETHER. They definitely have the gameplay portion down, but I think a strong story and a much more polished presentation would have strengthened the context and in turn made the challenge much more satisfying....
Good as the game is, I actually liked Arkham Asylum more. The main story was VERY short, the environment seemed needlessly large, and yes it's probably one of the best casts of characters in videogaming history, but many, many of them seemed like a complete afterthought.
Unless I'm mistaken, 3 hours is actually pretty long for a standard speed-run in action games nowadays.
A few of those are actually my FAVORITE moments from those respective games. The dream sequences in Max Payne, The Shadow Temple in OoT, Chemical Plant Zone in Sonic, Sirena Beach in Mario Sunshine. I loved all those parts.
Wonderful. Now according to the media, killing babies is a part of our ever-growing repertoire of potential crimes as gamers...despite the fact that I can't even IMAGINE myself doing something this horrific.
I agree with the author. Like that mini-game where she's thrown in the kitchen and forced to prepare a delicious turkey sandwich. It was totally out of place.
Or the Fart Machine. That would be a terrible nickname to have.
Dear god. No one actually read the article. It has absolutely nothing to do with which is the better game. It's not nearly as incendiary as everyone here thinks it is.
