Dragon's Lair was a great QTE game too.
In the 80s, and early 90s, Egm, gamepro,Nintendo power, and Sega visions read like catalogues trying to help sell games. About the time the SNES came out and more game comparisons came against Sega Genesis/Mega Drive they began getting a little more cut throat.
I remember being frustrated with reviewers because they wouldn't tell you how it stacked up to a competing title. Example Sega CD Rage in the cage wwf, they never said it was worse than the SNES or Genesis Royal Rumble.....

I've been a gamer since 1980. My anger stems from newer versions of games that aren't as good as previous versions in that genre. Instead of going forward with each new generation the devs start over scrapping features and focusing on graphics. Playing No Mercy on N64 then "upgrading" to PS2 smack down or the newer def jam wrestling titles were a slap in the face who stuck with Aki and Yukes. Sony's always lived and died by 3rd party exclusives. Without MGS, Final Fantasy, and Tekken Sony wouldn't have been able to hang with Nintendo and Sega on their own. Now MS pays for exclusives like Sony does and has done since the 90s and Sony fans cry foul. Get over it.
That is how I feel too. I'm not getting a new console because they simply don't work like last generation. I'm skipping it and just play Gears 3 on 360 until it's servers are killed. Then I'll probably play bots when that happens. Gaming isn't what it used to be.

Fable 1 and 2 are underrated gems. Fable 3 is trash. Fable heroes sounds promising.
People act like Peter is the only one that made a game that didn't meet the hype train criteria. Look at recent games like Destiny and Evolve...many gamers are disappointed because of high expectations.
There's a similar glitch in madden and EA has done nothing to fix it. I doubt the community is as big as that so it probably won't get fixed. people basically pause the game and you are stuck at that screen until the other player un-pauses or you quit giving them the win. It's frustrating and makes online broken.

Don't open them. Some automatically download a patch that makes the dashboard work and look like ps3. It ruined my life. I had to hack my 360 to get it back to the last dashboard update. Pain in the ass.
360 has too many Indies with very low quality. They're not being as lenient on x1. Which is good. Keeps all that clutter off the servers.
I hate it when companies do this. You get used to doing things for 6-7 years on a console and then it's taken away. Reminds me of Madden 06 where they stripped everything out and made items like alternate uniforms dlc where the last Gen versions those things were included with initial purchase. The new WWE2k is another example.
I have not bought into the new consoles because I don't feel like I'm getting my money's worth. Especially when they are selling...
I'd just make a 360 controller with a dpad made by Sega. The dpads Sega made for their 6button Genesis or the Saturn 3d controller. Those pads made street fighter games silky smooth.
