In my opinion, some gamers are just being irrational and want to find someone to blame for Bayonetta 2 not appearing on PS4 and Xbox One. That's why they've expressed hate on Platinum and Nintendo. Anyway, I salute Nintendo for getting Bayonetta 2 made regardless of how poor it will sell. A great game deserves to be played, but for whatever reason, Wii U owners don't seem to be buying a lot of software when these worthwhile titles are released. It's perplexing even though the ...

Actually, Nintendo is still selling Wii U at a loss this year, but they're bottom line won't see much of an impact from more producing more Wii U consoles because they have they still have plenty of consoles that went unsold from last year... which isn't exactly a good thing.

Here's Nintendo statement:

"With respect to the impact of Wii U hardware sales on profit and loss, in order to sell 3.60 million units, we have to produce some mo...

Why is it so hard for some people to understand that Nintendo licensed the Bayonetta IP from Sega in order to have exclusive publishing rights over Bayonetta 2 and ownership of it coding? Sega cannot legally port the game to a non-Nintendo platform unless it makes a deal with Nintendo, which won't happen because Nintendo isn't going to fund a game and allow it to be ported to a non-Nintendo platform.

You do realize Nintendo has publishing rights and ownership of Bayonetta 2's coding, right? That means you'll never see the title on Xbox One or PS4.

While I remain skeptical about the quality of the title based on E3 impressions, there's definitely parts of the game that do seem like fun (and I like how it's a mature game that isn't taking itself too seriously). Quite frankly, for all we know, Devil's Third may not be coming out until after the second half of 2015, but it sounds like the dev team has been busy been making improvements to it, so hopefully they'll show the next time we see the game in action. Valhalla ...

Just for a comparison, according to Iwata Asks, Monolith Soft began very early development on Xenoblade Chronicles 1 back in July 2006 with the two clay models of Bionis and Mechonis created. Monolith Soft was already developing Disaster: Day of Crisis, so it was naturally further in development and had most of the team working on it too. By April 2007, Monolith Soft made the tech demo for the game and began to determine the project's overall direction and writing. The scale of the game a...

Nintendo's problem cannot be merely solved with releasing a new console that is equally as powerful and has similar architecture as Sony and Microsoft's. To believe that is to be ignorant of Nintendo's fundamental problems that are deeply rooted in its development philosophy and unwillingness to compete directly in a market with more resource-rich rivals that have already captured the mind share of the audience it has generally lacked. Ironically, Wii U's largest demographic ...

Where do these journalists come from? Hiding underneath a rock? Nintendo just announced this same bundle in their last Direct video a few days ago. Yeesh.

Anyway, you can save a bit more money if you just buy a refurbished $200 Deluxe Wii U with Nintendo Land, then buy Super Mario World 3D for $48 at Amazon or some other retailers/online sites. I don't know why people are still waiting for a better Wii U deal when this is still the best one being offered. By the way, the ...

Nintendo did promote TW101 in a variety of ways. It was taken to practically every major industry event between June 2012 - Sept 2013. That includes events such as GDC (but not in 2012), Pax East, Pax Prime, E3, Comic-Con, Japan Expo,Gamescom, Wondercon, and Tokyo Game Show. In addition, Nintendo held a few of its own separate events like mall tours as well as 2012's Club Nintendo invitational Wii U experience tour. Furthermore, TW101 was promoted through a weekly NOA twitter campaign, ...

Yes, both Skylanders and Disney Infinity sell around 50% of their sales from Nintendo consoles alone, according to NOA's Reggie Fils-Aime.In addition, Nintendo's marketing strategy has been primarily targeting kids and families for all of its Wii U software so far since launch. However, Nintendo of America's senior marketing manager recently revealed Wii U's demographics data that revealed some surprising results:

- 90% of Wii U owners are connected online ...

As far as United States goes, Wii U had two TV ads for Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Mario Kart 8 for this year (I think Mario Kart was also briefly promoted in some movie theaters too). It's unknown yet it Bayonetta 2, Hyrule Warriors or Capt. Toad will receive TV ads overseas, but Smash Bros will obviously have one. As for 2013, Pikmin 3 had a TV ad, Lego City had a TV ad during Wii U's November launch campaign, as well as TV ads for Super Mario 3D World.

It's a shame Wii U's victory is a hollow one due to how badly all home console sales have been performing. Wii U has it worse considering it actually has flagship titles released.

Unfortunately, the original Xenoblade did not sell well in Japan despite debuting #1 on the software charts with 83k copies. By its second week of release, it sold a mere 20k copies and dropped down from #1 to #4 on the charts with a decrease of -75%. By its third week, Xenoblade dropped ou...

I don't think the console is being sold at a profit yet, but if Nintendo cuts it, then they will be selling it at further loss. This is why Iwata said Nintendo didn't want to cut the price back in January 2014. He said it was not an option given the circumstances of the company still operating at a loss, but it has been gradually improving. Cutting the price would leave Nintendo with even less time to be profitable on the hardware sales. In addition, 3DS isn't in a position to co...

I think Solid Snake was only meant to really be a one-time inclusion as a request from Kojima to Sakurai to include in Melee but it was too late in development ,so Sakurai included him in Brawl instead.

That's all I really am interested in buying. Well, I may rent Hyrule Warriors, and I'll give a shout out to Sunset Overdrive, since it does look cool, but I don't own an Xbox One. For me, PS4 really dropped the ball this year in terms of exclusives, but there's at least 2015's lineup is already looking better.

A) not needing to be localized and B) debug staff can prioritize working on the Japanese version first so they can then quickly move on to the overseas version and Wii U versions instead of doing them all at once with less staff. It was likely a move necessary to do to get the Smash Bros games out on time this year.
For the record, with Smash Bros Brawl, the game got delayed overseas because the dev team requested more time.

If Hyrule Warriors can get Wii U to sell over 20k units, then it will have performed better than Mario Kart 8 did as far as peak weekly Japanese hardware sales go. Nintendo didn't even consider Hyrule Warriors as a flagship release ,so it will be interesting to see if it can do more for Japan than Mario Kart 8 did. Strangely, I think it may do it.

I think the best second console to own is ideally a Wii U paired with a PS4, Xbox or PC. Wii U offers some unique things that you can't get on the other consoles and most of its exclusive software doesn't have similar types of software to be found on other platforms. In addition, its one less online service you'll have to pay for. The other platforms you'll own will simply cover the weaknesses Wii U has.

Anyway, that's my two cents. Choose what console...
