The multi-platform release of DMC4 guarantees a broader audience for the series. If DMC4 provides the quality of gameplay that is expected, then it will earn many new fans, thus ensuring a continuation of the series.
Only immature, selfish morons see this as a bad thing.
Haven't played it yet? I highly recommend it; the game is a true classic!
Another great addition to Xbox Live Arcade!
Add this one to all the rest: analysts who claim to know what gamers want and base their predictions off their own non-reality based assumptions. Funny, that, but hardly unexpected.
On the same page of the GameDaily BIZ recap N'Gai Croal's Newsweek article is a GameFly Weekly TOP 10 game rentals. Of the 10 games listed, 9 are Xbox 360 games and one is a PS2 game. No Wii; no PS3.
N'Gai fails to see the forest for the trees so to speak; he totally ignores the reali...
Halo 2 is a complete package; it's many small things coming together as a whole. Precise control and choice of weapons; well thought out maps, and top-notch match making.
You either 'get it' or you don't. In any case, don't deride the millions of gamers who do 'get it.' It's all about satisfaction. Halo satifisfies certain gamers just as MGS or FF satisfies other.
Respect for each others' likes and dislikes makes all-around gaming more fun.
Agreed in essential points. The daily stats, though once well over 1-million matches per day have cooled a bit but only due to the presence of new games such as Gears of War, Crackdown and Rainbow 6 (to name a few!).
Bungie's own stats page lists a still impressive 453,983 matches played in the last 24 hrs. with 229,849 unique players. Considering all the current competition and the fact that at least a sizable contingent of these players own multiple systems (as could be said ...
No, you are wrong. Yes, the game has been hyped, but no more than other top ranking IPs: MGS or FF for example. The truth is when the hype is stripped away what remains is a game that passes muster and rightfully earns the respect -- and love -- of its fans. Halo 2 is still one of the most played games on Xbox Live -- and with good reason.
Everyone has the right to like or dislike anything they encounter and experience. But, to call something 'garbage' or 'crap' solely on perso...
The article state that Universal joined the European HD DVD Promotional Group Ltd., thereby reconfirming its commitment to the HD DVD format.
The battle carries on...
Halo 2's multiplayer game is near perfection. The numbers prove its popularity. To those who claim Halo 2 is a poor game, or mediocre at best it is time to admit that your personal views are not shared by the millions of Halo 2 players. Personal preference is just that; numbers and statistics portray facts.
Bring on Halo 3!
CM:Dirt is a much more fully realised game than Motorstorm. The latter offers a light-weight single player experience and good multi-player fun (thought still limited). CM:Dirt will offer a deep single player experience and as yet unknown multiplayer gameplay.
I'm looking forward to this game.
I was very surprised at just how much fun Crackdown really is; it's a great game. In many ways Crackdown reminds me of several old-school classics now presented in next-gen graphics.
Crackdown's game elements, its precise control and inherrent sense of humor make it a winner. I've been playing it since its release and I can see myself playing Crackdown for some time to come. Co-op with friends, which turn into impromtu death-matches, with the game keeping score, are too hard t...
I'll get them both, one to play and the other for a rainy day.
THIS is what Sony needs.
Combined with conflicting press releases followed by factual news reports that fall short of expectations... Sony why? The damge you do hurts not only yourself but those who actually believe what you say.
Take a page out of Microsoft's 360 PR playbook, promise little, deliver a lot. That formula creates stronger, more positive buzz. It really does.
Momentum spurred by a steady stream of quality games will earn Microsoft's 360 legions of new fans. Yes, it is great time to be a gamer!
Not gonna happen... It will take longer, if at all. Technology is moving too fast; there are other options on the horizon which may make blu-ray and hd-dvd formats moot.
And Warhawk IS released as a download rather than a blu-ray disc-based game, then it could be read as a panic move by Sony. It could be presumed that either Sony feel compelled to get more games out sooner and/or that development issues---and fixes---would delay Warhawk beyond what Sony was willing to wait for.
If Warhawk is downloadable then this is bad news for Sony. For Sony's sake---and the sake of gamers looking forward to this title, I hope this bit of news proves false. ...
I admit it: I'm a sucker for collector's editions. I was really looking forward to Mass Effect; now I can't wait!
Still, I'd really love to see Crimson Skies 2 and KOTOR 3 on the 360. Any of us could add games to the 'rumor' list. Crimson Skies 2? As much as I'd love to see it, I'll stay focused on known releases.
With regards to Fight Night 3, the 360 version was voted superior by an audience of viewers in an event held at Harlem's Apollo Theater several months ago.
The event was covered by CNBC and BET with the audience viewing side-by-side live gameplay on matching large screen HDTVs.
The 360 version was voted the superior version by the audience.

In truth, an accurate appraisal of the PS3's European/Australian launch needs sales figures before judgement can be passed. Let's wait and see.
