Crackdown before its recent downloads for additional content was tremendous fun. After downloading the additional content, new vehicles, weapons and game types, is simply one of the most enjoyable games ever made.
Crackdown deserves all the accolades it gets. It's a fantastic game; don't miss out on the manic fun!
And several 360s. He has posted photos of his home set-ups which in addition to a large, flat-panel set-up with all three new consoles (yes---a PS3!) as well as several system linked 360s connected to individual monitors for LAN play.
His software library is impressive as well. Elite's opinions are based on real usage and personal experience.
That said, I absolutely agree with his statement that for shared, multi-console games, the 360 versions consistantly look ...
At any given time I have 10-15 people on my Friends List online playing games. This morning, after playing Forza 2 all night, I noted that 10 of my friends were doing the same thing: playing Forza 2.
The game is better than I had even hoped. It's addictive as all hell and I'm not complaining one bit.
I love the racing; I love the tuning; I love the customization. If you like racing, modifying or customizing, Forza 2 is a 'must have.' It's that good.
Three of my friends purchased their first Microsoft game console last month. All three opted for the Elite. Each relayed that it was Microsoft's burgeoning digital-download content that was the deciding factor in choosing the Elite over the Premium 360.
All three moved up from the PS2---which each still love, to the 360. Games, games, and more games, LIVE, and LIVE's Video Marketplace were and are all my 3 new-Xbox-owning friends now talk about.
Each has remarked...
I still play LOTR Battle for Middle Earth, the first RTS for the 360. C&C, the second RTS for the 360 is great, manic fun! You have to play these games to really see just how nicely RTSs play on the 360.
I'm looking forward to playing World in Conflict.
HP is selling a lot of HD-DVD equipped PCs and laptops. I ordered mine with the 17" Brightview display. Work & play go tegether so nicely sometimes.
"...ps3 will have GRAW 2 before june 08, u cant count DiRT."
You can't count dirt.
That's the precise point of the article.
I got my copy of Forza 2 from Amazon yesterday. I also received a code for a downloadable bonus car for ordering from Amazon.
Amazon is a major seller of video games and hardware. I buy all my games through Amazon since it offers free shipping on orders over $25 and no sales tax since everything is shipped from Amazon's Kentucky facility.
I also like Amazon's pre-order options. No downpayments required.
By the way, FORZA 2 is fantastic! Damn, I lov...
Your 'list' for the 360 is extremely lacking. You left out a great many excellent games.
Don't offer a comparison unless you are willing to post accurate listings for both sides.
You look either dishonest or misinformed when you skew your list items.
Anyone who believes that the PS3 is impossible to 'max out' is an idiot. Please refrain from repeating marketing crap that is not based on reality.
Seriously, stop it. You only make yourself look foolish.
Say, rather, the it will be years before developers get the most out of the PS3. That is a realistic statement.
Keep in mind however that the same can be said for the 360 and even the Wii.
The 360 launched with great games. COD2 was a triple-A title, as was PGR3. Both had next-gen graphics and excellent gameplay.
There still is nothing that truly compares to the tension and excitement of PGR3 LIVE multiplayer. And COD2 play on Veteran difficulty was, is, incredible.
Perfect Dark Zero? Beautiful graphics, fun gameplay and one of the best LIVE multiplayer experiences I've had. The online battles were awesome. Players could come and go, joining or le...
It does if you have played the game. Forza DEMANDS all your attention is focused on DRIVING. Forza 2 is incredibly realistic----and addicting as anything I've ever played. It will own you.
Yes, there arte an excess of rumors regarding MGS4's possible release on the 360. The reason they live on is that Konami is constantly coy with their refutations. Konami never really offers a hands-down. etched-in-granite denial.
Personally, I belive now more than ever that MGS4 will be released on the 360 in one form or another.
I never was a fan of the series so for me it matters little beyond the fact that Konami stands to make a great deal more money by offer...
It is because Microsoft's XNA Toolkit that there are so many Xobox 360/PC games in development. The XNA Toolkit allows simultaneous development without the need for seperate development teams. It also reduces the cost of development.
Smart thinking, MS.
Tudor's just trying to make a point by presenting videos of what he believes to more impressive graphics. He was baited by the "this can't be done on the 360" comment preceding his initial post.
As you wisely suggested and I now paraphrase: CHILL! Everyone, regardless of platform preference, has some great games coming down the pipe.
Yes, it can be argued that some games look better than ever, but without great gameplay, even the best graphically impres...
Bioshock's graphics and environments look insanely good.
But truthfully, not as good as I expected. There is an inconsistency among the screen shots; some look organic while others look contrived.
Some of the various environment elements have better textures than others in close proximity. Still, it looks to be a beautiful game.
If however, the gameplay is restricted to arena environments, as is the case with typical fighting games, then HS, for me, will lose interest.
It is nice to see PS3 fans have som...
And it looks GREAT!
The IMAGES on Track7's site are much more interesting.

The news story come from Wired.com, a very reputable source. It IS important because it shows that the PS3 is not generating any excitement in Japan.
The 360 however is garnering an admittedly small but very loyal group of Japanese gamers.
Japanese retailers recognize this; since there were no new releases for the PS3, this retailer used the PS3's space to reach out to the core Japanese 360 owners.
I can say this: the Japanese 360 owners that I hav...
The worst thing about the 360's huge line-up is that a number of excellent games will end up being over-shadowed by others.
I've been playing a lot of Chromehounds which was released last summer. I bought it soon after its release but other games stole my attention.
About two months ago I brought Chromehounds out of retirement and found out just how much fun fighting in the Neroimus War really is. Now twelve people from my friends list are all hardcore members of...
