My wife and I both have Zune players. We love them. I replaced my Creative Zen with a Zune. I liked it so much I bought a second one. I love the fact that I can play music off my zune, or my wife's through either of my wireless laptops while at home. Also that we can share songs between us using Zune's wireless share feature. Cool!
This is a very good update that offers improvements of certain features and introductions of others.
The forthcoming MSN integration is a big thing. Just wait and see how much this will enhance Xbox Live's already excellent communication (text & voice chat) feature.
The improved Marketplace interface raises the bar as well. So does the download/auto shut-off feature.
Nice going MS, congrats!
The real point is this: Game developers are working at a furious pace, with heightened creativity and artistic freedom that the next-gen machines' capabilities inspire.
We are seeing games that developers once only dreamed of making. Mass Effect is to games what Star Wars was to movies: a paradigm shift towards realistic presentation of a science fiction drama.
It is the ever growing understanding of the capabilities of the Xbox 360 and the PS3 that excite game ...
and it more to come. Quit fighting... play games!
Instead, revel in the greatness of the list! Seriously, the list is impressive! Not all will be AAA titles of course, but there are bound to be some winners.
Seriously, the 'LAZY' excuses need to stop; they are foolish and naive.
Do those who cling to this harebrained theory actually believe that game developers are full of energy and ambition when developing 360 titles but suddenly fall off due to exhaustion and laziness when developing for the PS3?
Ludicrous I tell you, ludicrous!
Incremental improvements, even small ones, are significant if continued for any lenght of time. The 360 is trending upwards in Japan. Slowly, agreed, but upwards none the less.
I expect even greater movement in the months to come. Upwards.
I played the original Forza for months on end, loving every minute of the game from car customization to racing the dreaded Tokyo track with its infamous 'turn #9.'
Forza broke ground in regards to console racers' physics model and gameplay.
Forza 2 is set to up the ante --- big time!
I can't wait!
Mass Effect & Too Human will move some hardware.
Will be mine... I will make good use of the 120 gig hd.
Explode upon the gaming world! Forza 2 will earn the respect of console racing fans and convert many who've never really been fans of the genre.
Forza 2 has something for just about eveyone: great racing challenge, extreme levels of simulation, insane levels of customization; an auction house, LIVE,tv-like presentation and viewing, and more than enough cars to satisfy exotic car and racing fans of all flavors!
I can't wait!
It would be a great idea if this turns out to be true.
Not bad - GH2 is currently the top seller in video games on Amazon.com. It will likely move a few systems as well.
The barrage of 360 hits continues -- and is about to get damned serious. Next up: Forza 2!
Forza's devs took everything they liked about the GT series, added dozens of new ideas and improved everything immensely.
PGR is about challenge, driving style and competition. Forza is about racing realism, tuning and customization.
GT started the realistic trend and as such deserves a lot of credit. But both PGR and Forza expanded upon, and improved, what console racing is all about.
Now, it's the GT series that must copy --- Forza's damage modeling, physics and customization, and PGR's intense multiplayer competition along with Gotham TV Hero's Channel.
I doubt you ever played it. Certainly never on Live. Two weeks... bored? Riiiiight!
Online, PGR3 is one of the best competitve games of any genre. It is incredibly fast and very, very challenging. The game is featured in world gaming competitions for a good reason: no other racer, to date, matches PGR's intensity.
Bizarre, the developer of the Project Gotham series, had already begun PGR4 before PGR3 was released.
In an interview, the developers said that they were just really discovering the power of the 360 as they neared the end of PGR3's de...
Seriously, Forza 2 ups the ante for customization. The original Forza allowed 100 graphic layers per side for incredible custom designs, Forza 2 allows 1000 layers per side for an absolutely insane level of customization.
Add in the new online Auction House where gamers can buy, sell or trade customized cars and you have everything to make custom car fans very, VERY HAPPY!

The continued downward sales trend for the PS3 in Japan is interesting. So is the growing acceptance of the 360. Granted, the 360's numbers are very low, but--they are trending up.
If both trends continue in the same direction, even slightly, it will cause people to take notice. Could Japan be ready for a paradigm shift?
I disagree. Microsoft is creative and resourceful; don't be suprised if the unthinkable happens: MS offers a future 360 with a high capacity high-definition dvd player AND a means for everyone else (360 owners) to upgrade without breaking the bank.
Microsoft has shown more foresight AND good business sense than Sony this round. The XNA Toolkit, Live VIDEO MARKETPLACE, IPTV, PC/LIVE integration and so on... If MS has proven anything it's that they are prepared for various contin...
