Ninja Gaiden Sigma has been hovering in the high-twenties to low-thirties range over the last week. During that time at least three 360 games have consistantly ranked higher.
Who would have thought that Amazon Japan's TOP 100 Video Games & Hardware list would have more 360 games listed than PS3 games.
The 360's Trusty Bell is currently ranked at #2 while Oblivion (360) comes in at #5.
The 360 Core bundled with Trusy Bell is ranked at #32, so yes, games do move hardware.
The rankings are updated hourly so fluctuation in rankings is to be expected. However, checking the TOP 100 over the last week has shown 360 titles ...
Seriously, no disrepect intended, but PS3 fans really need to stop using the word 'wait' anywhere in their posts.
Get a thesaurus if you absolutely feel compelled to note a anticipatory moment or event but in no means use the word 'wait' any further. It's the equivalent of wearing a 'kick me' sign across your back.
Marcus Lai, PunchJump's author for the Amazon story either is not aware that Amazon's TOP 100 lists are updated hourly, not weekly. Or, he intentionally wrote a mis-leading article.
Personally, I think the author of the article is simply mis-informed.
Anyone familiar with Amazon sales understands how its sales are tracked. I have been an Amazon Associate re-seller for the last six years so I am very familiar with Amazon's sales tracking.

PS3 sales are down globally. In Japan, the PS3's sales have faded. But more importantly, even though the PS3 holds a hardware sales ratio of 2.5 to 1 over the Xbox 360, the 360 holds the more important lead of software sales over the PS3.
In Europe, the just announced sell-through of 1,000,000 PS3s is not the good news fans would hope for since 80% of those sales came within the first week of the PS3's release.
It has taken until now to sell through the remaining...
>>> Sony was not so concerned about the ps3 sales cause as far as they were concerned the ps2 is still a viable console... <<<
I think you might be right about this. It does appear that Sony was content to let the PS3 coast while enjoying the steady stream of PS2 hardware & software sales.
Sony may have assumed that the transition from PS2 to PS3 across its fanbase would be a sure thing. I do not believe that Sony anticipated so many PS2 fan...
One phrase sums it up: XNA Toolkit.
That's right. The XNA Toolkit was the foundation that Microsoft positioned as its 'secret weapon' for the next generation console wars.
I wrote about it---and made my predictions, back in Nov. '05.

>>> The only thing sony did is called it manchester catheral but that could probably be 10 different churches. <<<
Wow!... just Wow!
The Church of England owns Manchester Cathedral. It is a private property that is open to the public. The Church has the same private property rights that all citizens do.
The Church also has the right to choose when and if its private ptoperty, Manchester Cathedral, is displayed in a commercial medium, in this case, Resistance: Fall of Man.
I doubt, if asked, the Church would have allowed Manchester Cathedral to be depicted as the center of a bloodbath.

You need to look at all factors before concluding how the various consoles are performing in a particular market. Doing so can alter the overall picture:
"In Japan, Sony's home territory, lower than anticipated hardware sales have still allowed Sony to sell, in just over 6 months, nearly 2.5 times the number of PS3's as Microsoft's 18 month old Xbox 360 (934,800 vs 391,231), but Sony has yet to sell more games (1,195,052 vs 1,310,161). In particular,...

Checking Amazon.co.jp reveals some interesting things for video game sales.
The Xbox 360 game, Trusty Bell is currently ranked #3 with the Japanese 360 version of Oblivion taking the #6 spot.
The first PS3 game listed is Ninja Gaiden Sigma at #24.
All three are pre-orders.
Folk Soul, another PS3 pre-order, is ranked at #64 in popularity.
This re-inforces my belief that Japanese 3...

Only time will tell. Europe, as I see it, is the 'wild card.' In any case it will be interesting to see how it all develops.
The Wii will not follow the path of the Game Cube. There are a number of important differences.
One, a large percentage of Wii sales have gone to more mature gamers whereas the GC's demographics was comprised of mostly younger gamers. Here, purchasing power is the important difference.
Two, the Wii is getting more third party support than the GC had. Developers are eager to cash-in on the Wii's popularity.
Expect to see a much higher level of crea...

The car designs are incredible!
Yes, Chromehounds is a very good game though in truth it's most fun played on Live. The game is deep and the gameplay diverse.
The cool thing about CH on LIVED is that you can play solo against A.I., or join a squad and battle with friends.
The wealth of hound designs is incredible. You can build everything from fast scout mechs to "battleships on legs" heavy gunner mechs.
My current build is a heavy gunner with six howitzers and a machin...
After viewing the Oblivion comparisons I have to say the 360 version is much more vibrant. The PS3 shots were sharper but flat and dull.
