It was the re-stocking of the Elite after its initial sell-through that has allowed the surge in Elite 360 sales on Amazon.com.
The surge has been going on for days....
And yes, April's 360 sales drop was certainly affected by the forthcoming Elite system. It is May's sales figures that will be most telling.
I reported this a couple of days ago in the Wii60 thread. In any case, it is important to note that not only is the PS3 being outsold (substantially!) by the Elite 360, it is ALSO being outsold by the Premium 360.
The theory that the Elite is being purchased primarily by existing 360 owners is wrong. Microsoft's Xbox 360 has gone mainstream. With the huge volume of available--and high profile software, coupled with even higher profile, upcoming games, the 360 has become the nex...
Microsoft knew EXACTLY what they were doing when they developed the XNA Toolkit for game developers. It allows simultaneous development for both the 360 and pc. Smart, very smart!
Yours is such a stupid and blatant attempt at spin that you should get a metal for it.
Fanboy.
Regardless of frothing-at-the-mouth fanboys' vehemence and vitriol, the public decides ultimately which consoles prosper and which wither away.
Buying trends speak greatly where reality rather than blind loyalty is needed to see the truth:
"Wii, Xbox 360 Elite gain; PS3 falls at Amazon"

"Sales for Nintendo Co.'s Wii video...
Split screen co-op is only needed for single box/single display sessions as used in Halo and Halo 2. Certain system-link, lan set-ups also used split screen (2 or 4 player display).
Live play does not use a split screen as each player runs the game from his or her's own console and display monitor.
Bottom line: Halo 3 4-player co-op will be HUGE! For many, including a number of members of the press, it will be as if multi-player, online co-op never existed before...
Are you an idiot, or a liar? Both most likely.
Forza's cars are anything BUT glued to the surface! Forza's physics are incredbly spot on!
The April NPD consoles sales are very grim for Sony's PS3 which sold only 82,000 units (six months after launch) while the Xbox 360 (pre- Xbox 306 Elite launch) sold 174,000 units for the month.
The 360 outsold the PS3 in excess of a 2 to 1 ratio. It will be interesting to see what effect the Elite's launch has on the 360's sales figures for May.
Combined with the PS3's plunge in Japan, could good, sustained sales, in Europe make up the difference? Assuming of co...
I have a Creative Zen but I purchased a Zune for my wife as a Christmas present. I can say that my wife's Zune is much better than my Creative Zen.
I like everything about it, from the easy to use interface to its powerful networking ability. It's great!
I'll be buying s second Zune to replace my Creative Zen. Halo 3 edition? Hell yeah!
Rumble Roses XX is a fun game and belive it or not a decent wrestling game. The matches can get pretty intense, T&A factors aside.
Crackdown is a crazy, fun game. Keys To The City ups the ante tenfold. Great game!
Halo is all about control. Not the everyday normal type associated with great games, but the incredibly spot-on perfection type of control that makes you feel invincible --- that is until you match up against a group of other players who likewise feel the invincible level of Halo control. The fun begins. So does the addiction.
Nothing comes close to Halo LIVE!
Downloaded the demo off of LIVE Maretplace: DAMN!!! This game looks insanely good! It's another 'must have!' game.
The demo ran smoothe as silk with no frame rate issues at all. And yes, the teaser ending is fantastic!
Cliffy B, Gear's lead programmer, said that the Epic team found tremdous potential in the 360. They estimated that Gears Of War only tapped around 40% of the 360's power. Cliffy B said that he was sure the 360 could be pushed even further beyond that.
Little left? Hardly!
Last night I got together with frinds on Test Drive Unlimited and we all remarked on the high number of Japanese gamers playing Test Drive. A quick scan through the players met feature of Live showed dozens of Japanese listed among all the players met in game.
One of my friends from Japan told me that he can't find a copy of TDU anywhere. Everywhere he's looked the game has been sold out. As soon as he grabs a copy I promised to show him around Oahu and the secrets it holds.

With more tables added the game could go 8-plus. It's a fun pinball game. A welcomed arcade addition.
There is a huge difference between stating that a game is not your 'type' as opposed to tagging a game as boring.
Not liking a game because it's not your type is purely --- and legitimately --- subjective.
Describing a game as boring, or exciting for that matter, should be based on quantitative and qualitative factors, not abitrary fanboyism.
Any gamer who would describe a game such as Forza (or the GT series), as 'boring' is either uneducated or a...
Forza boring? Motorstorm what?
Ahh kids & fanboys, what do they know!
Though in truth, it probably IS a good thing that you keep away from Forza. It's a game for skilled players only. Very skilled. You best stick to your dune buggy arcade game.
Be sure to click on the PLAY HI-RES button on the embedded movie player. The video is jaw-droppingly amazing! Forza is going to be huge! AND, it's going to earn the respect plenty of die-hard GT fans.
Awesome game!
I stayed up last night playing Chromehounds on LIVE (GANGSTA SQUAD!) waiting for the DIRT demo.... Damn, this is a fun game! Triple-A!!!
