Halo 2's fan base is huge -- and still growing.
'nuff said.
Crackdown is a great game; it has all the elements of fun found in some of the best games. Precise control, unlimited capacity for wanton destruction (gotta LOVE wanton destruction!) and tons of humor.
Co-op is a blast, especially when co-op with a friends turns into a death-match after the third time you 'accidently' kill your friend with a heat-seeking rocket or a thrown delivery truck. Mayhem ensues... CLASSIC FUN!
As I posted above:
The Elite with it's 120gb HDD is about media -- streaming media; it's long been announced as an area of focus and development by Microsoft. To date, Microsoft's Media Marketplace has been a huge success, and a very profitable one.
The Elite fits in nicely with MS's soon to be released IPTV offerings as well as expanded media downloads.
The Elite is about function with a purpose.
Sony is the one playing 'catch up...
They've got the excuse train right on track!
Woulda coulda shoulda... choo! choo!
The sales figures are for UNO XBLA sales; they do not include promotions or other offerings.
Four players with LIVE cam --- FUN!
Leb, you claim the Elite is about hardware, and taken as such, the Elite COULD appear to be playing catch up.
One thing though: you are wrong!

..to the 360 line-up is a result, at least in part, of the success of Live Marketplace's hugely successful media marketplace. Digital media downloads are the future, not disc-based media.
Microft's push towards digital downloads leapfrogs Sony's focus on physical media. Blu-ray AND HD-DVD will never achieve the widescale acceptance as the forerunner dvd. Digital content, evergrowing in acceptance and availability, will account for the lion's share of tomorrow's market.

Offering an additional choice for consumers is a good thing. MS is seeking to attract gamers on a broad spectrum. The introduction of the Elite furthers that concept.
It also puts added pressure upon MS's competition. The Elite will expand the 360's demographic. Combined with today's announcement by Microsoft of new media partners for Xbox Live Marketplace, MS is building momentum aggressively.
What many fail to realize is that by employing Microsoft's powerful XNA Toolkit, developers can develop games for the 360 AND PC simultaneously.
SIMULTANEOUSLY is the key word. The beauty of the XNA Toolkit is that it creates code for both platforms at the same time. It also optimizes and compresses code, graphics and sound files as well. Developers can get more bang for the buck by creating Xbox 360 -- AND PC games with little more effort than it previously took to develop for...
Seriously, calling game developers 'lazy' because they consider ROI, return on investment, before commiting to a new project is ridiculous, uninformed and infantile.
Game developers, professional game developers, are businesses first, fans second -- regardless of personal preferences, likes and dislikes.
Reality dictates that projects that can be completed with a minimum of capital investment weighed against potential high return are the projects they will choose...
Both PS3 and the 360 will be near the end of their life-cycles before developers squeeze all power they can out of these great gaming systems. We will be in awe of future releases on both platforms.
Anyone, gamers and developers both, who approach the respective platforms with a positive mind-set will get so much more out of the respective systems.
PS3fans, you have a great system to enjoy --- and guess what? --- the Xbox 360 is awesome too; you'ld gain some grea...
...surprised? Of course, rumours remain rumours until conformation confirms. Let's wait and see.
It's all about awareness. Halo 3 will be EVERYWHERE! Just wait for the tv and cable news segments. They're just about guaranteed!
You are very wrong if you think PGR3 is 'average.' It is the best purely competitve racer available, that is until Forza 2 arrives, and then PGR4.
PGR3 is an outstanding game, its also used widely in world gaming competitions.
Amazon's top-sales list is updated hourly; as a result it reflects regional preferences as subsequent time-zone's prime shopping hours come into play.
XBLA has been very good to me. Jetpac: Refuelled will be mine! Right now I'm having very pleasant flashbacks playing Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.
Better than the un-patched, upgraded 360 version. Not better than the patched version however... not as good in fact. Close... but not quite there.
Seriously, I thought Oblivion was beautiful before, but WOW!!! The lighting, colors and textures are improved greatly! I can hardly believe how much better the patch made everything look.
I can say this: the side-by-side comparison was was not made with the upgraded 360 version. No way! I watched that video very closely; the updated 360 version I have on my HDTV now is far, far better than either of the comparitive views: the old 360 version and the new PS3!

I got my 360 at launch, as did my oldest son, since we pre-ordered very early. We picked-up our 360s at midnight. I followed the launch and subsequent months closely as I was looking for a third 360 to give to my younger son for a graduation present.
Friends of mine also sought out 360s; one lucked out in February as he happened to be in a Wal-Mart late at night just as a new shipment arrived.
I finally found an available 360 in late March of last year -- five mo...
As has been said: this is a gaming news site, not a political soapbox.
Two points:
Your gamer pic of a grossly overweight female shows YOU to be prejudiced yourself. Mocking another person's condition with a gamer pic and then having the balls to call accuse another of 'prejudice' is the high-point of hypocrisy.
Obviously you know very little about Christianity, Evangelical or otherwise, and almost nothing about Islam.
Keep the repli...
