A bit controversial, but I keep trying to get through TLoU without success. I adore the setting and story, but something about the mechanics just don't gel with me. Move to a new area > stealth or run around or go in guns (and limited ammo) blazing > cutscene > repeat.
I'll finish the game, eventually. And I'm not contesting its "greatness". The game is polished and pure AAA magnificence. I just don't fancy the flow of it, personally. Questi...
Totally agree. The games media seem to be making blanket statements about things that predominantly apply to only one console. On the PS4 every game except BF is 1080p with 30-60 FPS. I'm almost certain you can count the native 1080p X1 games on one hand: Forza, Kinect something or other, NFS, and one more I can't recall.
The change in status quo from Xbox>PS popularity seems to be quite an adjustment for many in the gaming press. They'll adapt, I'm sure. O...
Game looks great, but that outfit... Really? At least her nipples are well protected in those tit-cages or whatever they're called.
Not sure which platform to get this one. Probably PS4 for the trophies.
So strange. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to update or flash a firmware from an external USB source. My God, what a Nanny State the whole Xbox ecosystem is.
Writing was on the wall to anyone who was paying attention. It was initially an Xbox 360 Kinect title, let's not forget. There was only so much lipstick you could put on this pig.
If its comprehensive and yet still inaccurate, it shouldn't result in an "excellent feature", assuming we are using basic impartial reasoning. Those experiences are not separate or mutually exclusive, they both pertain to the overall performance of voice control. The result is a "decent" feature that still needs improvement.
Shouldn't be a perfect score if it has "cons". 'Perfect' is exactly that: flawless. The fascinating thing about this gen has been in seeing console warriors masquerading as journalists finally dropping the act and running with their rhetoric. It happened when the media turned on the consumers when the DRM infested nightmare that was the original X1 launched, and it continues with this apologist and placating stance that 75% of the outlets have adopted lately.

Won't happen. Cable companies have their own media-boxes to sell. There is no incentive for them to do this or to encourage another ecosystem (Xbox Live). People keep saying this is a great idea but they forget how insular and monopolistic cable companies are. I imagine MS courted them back when these rumors started years ago and had the door slammed in their face.
13 games? Is that all? Seems remarkably sparse. PS4 launched with almost twice that amount and the press are belabouring it for not having enough software.
The 11th hour Ryse embargo is rather telling of its quality too.
"Dull, tedious slog." Is how it should read. Did that make it to print? I dont want to click. No wonder games journalism is such a mess when these people haven't mastered basic English.
More to the point, I find the game fun if a little drawn out. At least it seems to entertain the kids. Personally, I'd give it a six to seven out of ten. I don't understand these low ball reviews that try and paint the game as if its unplayable. it may not have the best p...
What's wrong with wanting both? My God, 1080p with post-processing has been a PC standard for years and one of the new consoles can't keep up with that. 4k is a pipe-dream, 1080p is far more conservative expectation.
There's no patch to fix a crap GPU and complicated memory setup. But whatever you need to tell yourself, Green.
Don't ever change. You will be one of my main sources of amusement this coming gen.
MP was always 1080p on PS4. I think many of you are glossing over that. Still makes a lot of the fuss irrelevant though. Will be nice to see some genuine comparisons from DF soon.
The issue is compounded by the fact that its $500 (and then some when including Live and games) + tax. So around a $700 investment for the average person. You can get a decent mid-range laptop or PC for that price that will play everything in 1080p and more than a handful of Steam games for that price.
At least with Sony's box the hardware is worth the asking price (yes, you can still build better PCs, but not for $400) and there are F2P options.
Well the Beyond3D forums - haven of delusional Xbox fanatics banished from Neogaf after the various "secret sauce" and DGPU rumors - were where this tidbit originated from. So no one should have believed it anyway. Also, higher rez MP and lower rez SP defies what we understand of how graphics are pared down for MP.
The 1TB Samsung is available for a massive discount on Amazon atm. But its basically the price of another PS4. Still a great deal for an SSD though. I am hoping they add TRIM support or that the natural garbage collection on the EVO series does a decent job when the system is shut down. I know that Linux based systems don't fragment as much as Windows ones, so there's that too. In another few years the prices won't be so prohibitive.
Honestly, I nabbed a 250 gig ...
It means everything except anti-aliasing and ansiotropic filtering, both of which Forza is clearly lacking. At least its 1080p. So there's that. But as far as being impressive on a technical level, it falls flat. MS need to stop with the chest pounding on specs and focus on what makes their box different and worth the extra $100. It certainly isn't power people are paying for. So what is it that makes the X1 and its games and features unique. That should be the question they are seeki...
Aurthur Gies is the resident Xbox fanboy. Crecente just likes clickbait for the revenue.
And yes, this is just a regurgitation of a previously posted review.
I can't tell if your post is sarcasm or not. Also, a crisp HUD laid over a jaggy, pop-up filled, pixellated mess (not I'm not being dramatic, look at the direct capture screens), isn't really doing the game any favours either.
@mmj 7770m is more fitting. Btw, I called this when the first spec leak hit what must have been a year ago.
