With the limited launch and failure to ignite the brand in the former Xbox bastion of the UK, this is really no surprise. Strange time to be a gamer. This generation will take a deadly toll on one of the three giants, I feel, and its mostly Nintendo and MS on the chopping block atm.

According to people on Neogaf who have access to NPD data, the difference is less than 50K. So its basically a wash. We'll know next month if Sony is telling the truth - which I believe they are as you can't find a PS4 anywhere - as supply constraints should have alleviated a bit.

Soul Sacrifice was absurdly generous with the post-launch DLC too. I still haven't gone through all of it.

That review was lovingly written and quite fair. I will read this author's reviews again. I was on the fence about this game, but I'll give it a shot now.
With a lower overall install base than their main competitor and more difficulty in shaving down the price (remember even without Kinect their COM is around $400), you can expect MS to seek any and every way to monetize their fanbase further.
I'm sure they will once all the DLC is out; an "ultimate" version of the game or whatever. Beyond is due for a 1080p + PS4 update, as well.

Same story since 2010. And then we get steaming, hot-garbage like Steel Batillion. Not a single Kinect game has yet justified the device.
The PS division posted a profit, despite the new hardware launch. Its the TV division with its obscene manufacturing costs and tiny profit margins that is being spun off. Their lagging PC brand is being sold outright. PlayStation is about the only thing making money right now, next to their Insurance division. Pro Tip: Helps to know what you're taking about before posting.
