Yea that's some spin they got there. When it comes to exclusives coming out next month, Ps3 owners have to think about saving their money for Demon's Soul, Uncharted, NG Sigma 2, or Ratchet & Clank. 360 owners have to think about Magna Carta 2 or Forza 3. So come on, if you seriously have to purchase an exclusive and put your money's worth into, PS3 owners have a harder time thinking through that dilemma with their wider variety of exclusives. Compared to 360 owners they just...

My local mall has two gamestops (yea two. weird that.) inside and both don't have any slims. They do have refurb PS3s, DS, PSPs, and 360s. They have a lot of 360s though Elite and Arcade. Also, since I just came back from that mall, it was interesting seeing a bunch of kids gather around the PS3 and Wii kiosk. Like where are their parents?

My friend and I went shopping and we stopped by Brookstone. We both came upon this product

http://www.brookstone.com/c...

Now if you saw it in person, the shape and design of it plus the pink tip looks very very much like a d___o. It even has three vibration settings and is waterproof. Anyway, she bought one for laughs.

If he wants to get hired into a game developing company, he'll need to work as a game tester and network with people. I remember reading an article on Joystiq, and the lead developer they interviewed said working in gaming is not just majoring in game design and applying for a job, most of it includes working at the very bottom, understanding what a game software company does, and networking to get your idea out there and let people know you have a desire to design games. Just because a pe...

you guys notice that the comparison articles from Gameswire are pretty bad? They don't even use good comparison pics. On one article, they'd pictures from two completely different environments. On another article, they'd use pictures while the game is still and compare it to pictures of a game in motion. And also, they manage to get some pictures labeled incorrectly! i.e. the PS3 picture gets labeled 360 while the 360 gets labeled PS3.

I would get this game just to continue experiencing the world of Dead Space. It was truly an awesome new take on the horror genre.

The 360 is not a waste of money. It has some pretty interesting games. On the other hand, it's not a worthwhile or good business investment. To call it a waste though, is going a bit too far.

So can we pretty much make a safe estimate that Sony will sell maybe 3-4 million units+ by the end of the year? Another 2-3 million when GT5 lands?

It'll be interesting if in the end, all these developers making hardcore games for Natal were using it for.... head tracking. Or using it for hand gestures to manipulate inventory, etc, while still requiring a controller to play the actual game. It would defeat the purpose of a controller-less device.

Edit: Sarcasm's post illustrates what I'm exactly thinking of. Which again, would defeat the concept of Natal - which is controller-free gaming.

So, can you play the game with one hand in this version, and use your free hand for other leisure activities?

Show the links that Microsoft Xbox 360 posted to your girlfriend or wife, then ask her "which looks better?"

If Sony launched the PS3 at $299 or $349 [to be reasonable] in the first place, and put up with the loss per console and relied on income from software sales, they may not be in this place this year this moment.

$599 was very very steep a price. Sure, selling $200 some would've incurred a huge loss per console, but they lost so much market share for not taking a business risk. They truly relied on consumer loyalty.

Meh GT will get a lot of complaints when it comes out. Everyone will be like "what happened? I thought GT5 was going to be definitive racer. I thought it was going to be perfection. You all said Kaz would spend the next 6 months perfecting it. What happened to that?"

Disappointments happen from great expectations. Damage of Forza 3 being sub-par to what other racers have these days is one of those disappointments. Seriously, the damage for F3 was hyped up due t...

Yea as much as I would like that, they don't realistically have enough time. And the game has gone gold already since last week or two.

In PC sim racing, hitting anything at 90mph+ renders a car totaled. Forza 3 doesn't look as exciting as the vids Turn 10 released. It doesn't look as pristine and graphically superior like the screenies they wowed us with. The physics is better but I still think tire deformation and "if you don't got the physics of the tires down, what's the point?" propaganda was all just gimmick talk. I can honestly say it's not the definitive racer. Not by far. But I can truthfully &...

^ bumpers came off since Forza 2. It would be wrong if Forza 3 didn't have that. I remember crashing my Porsche so both bumpers were on the track, and then hitting the replay mode to see if other drivers avoided the bumpers or hit them for fun.

My toyota crumpled in the rear when a maxima hit the trunk area from the side. That very same accident, my axle broke when the car went over a hillside concrete curb from the impact. It was probably a 45mph impact. My gf's fende...

I see the PS3 #s dropping off next week. I think a lot of people eager for FF would wait and pick up that bundle instead.

And that shows why races are more exhilarating when there are many cars on a track at a time.... not just a couple. Many. THAT's a real race.

@Narutone: oh yea thanks for the link. It's nice seeing Kaz so happy racing ... in a .... racing event.... in a race...car. The man doesn't talk about racing. He actually does.

^ what about Infinite Undiscovery? I'm VERY torn apart in whether or not I should pick that one up since Walmart has it for $16. I keep hearing that the battle mechanic is unique, but the story isn't very good. I'm not sure if that's a good $16 well spent or if it should go to another game.

Yea i hope it's not for some background calibration of some sorts. Would be silly to clear out my living room so it gets a good idea of what is static and what's dynamic. It's interesting you bring that up about darkness. IGN was abit puzzled by that too. They say the devs insist it can be played in the dark, utilizing IR to detect heat signatures so yes [on paper] Natal can work in the dark. But IGN was quick to note that they [Microsoft] has yet to demonstrate Natal working in envir...

yea playing games holding your hand up like that will get exhaustive. Maybe we can sit down and play games using our feet instead. Twiddle our toes around.
