So what if there are no actual gameplay comparisons? Truth is, the link Crazzy posted shows that Forza 3 's demo doesn't have actual physics-calculated damage deformation. Just a coverup. Still doesn't stop me from enjoying the demo though.

Released by PD as well. Bullshot? I dunno. I notice a lot of jaggies.

They've been releasing nothing but comparison pictures and headlines that make you think HHG for some reason. One moment they'll have an article stating GT5 looking better than the competition, then the next article they'll be releasing one that goes somewhere in the lines of "hey wait, my bad, I think these shots show GT5p to be inferior." What's even worse is they don't exactly compare pictures that accurately represent each other. Both pictures would have the same exact ca...
even though it may be nice, i think Need For Speed already tried that idea.
It's easier for developers to get the go-ahead to do full scale damage/deformation up to the car being totaled in rally cars and Nascar. I assume because we see them damaged up so badly on television that it's easier to procure the right to do damage rightfully done. Street cars on the other hand probably prove more difficult for developers to get the okay for realistic damage.
I'd also assume not many street legal car manufacturers would want a game to realistically represent ho...
All those vids and pictures are from cgi because they look too real and if it were on the 360, it'd be CGI too. And GT5's physics suck because it's like GT5p. And GT5p's physics is like GT4 all over again. I would know because I'm not a fanbot, I owned a PS2 before and played GT1, 2, 3, 4, and GT5p. The physics is exactly the same as GT1 even! That's what my goggles tell me. Oh yea! And GT5's physics gonna suck so bad because the cars can't roll over and prop themselves back up slowly...
Well from what I've seen Shift actually looks quite nice and the sound really gets to you. It sounds very immersive. I'm not one to wait in line behind a kiosk to try out a demo though, so I was just watchin the kiddies go at it. But from what I gather, the way it handled looked like another NFS game.
Btw, it's funny when conspiracy theorists start saying a site is pro-"companyname" this and that. I wouldn't say n4g is pro-MS, but i do recall a whole entire pa...
wow, so do you ever get the chance to take those cars to the tracks?
I'm sure most people can't wait for it. And the feature list presented sure rings a good tune to many people. But i'm so sick and tired of people looking at the cover and thinking that's all there is to the book. You don't go to a restaurant, see some pictures of their dishes, and tell your date "WTF that's all they have at this place? Let's go somewhere else!" because there's so much more and you'll miss out if you skimp on reading the entire menu. So just cuz you see a l...
It looks bad, because Turn 10 praised the game as the DEFINITIVE racer and the best graphics in its genre this generation. This being at E3. They fed us fanboy goggles with their definitive bullshots and Che told us it was all in-game. Now that almost everyone's gotten a taste of the demo, realistically, it's like seeing the bullshot Forza 2 pics/cgi videos and playing the real Forza 2.
At least actually playing and seeing GT5p in action looks close to if not entirely 100% a...
very rich environment. London track. even better and more rich environment. PGR4.
better looking game. GT5p. better sense of speed. NFS Shift.
best livery editor. Forza 3.
best rice boy game. The NFS riceboy series.
Those shots are telling us one thing. And that's the 360 doesn't have enough juice for more than 8 cars on screen, highly detailed car textures, higher polygon car models, and higher native output resolution. It also tells us another thing. It is possible to have a highly detailed textured high polygon model when the 360 is rendering one car on screen. This also tells us another thing. It's not entirely impossible for the PS3 to render the CGI-quality Ferrari in the 458 Italia tribute...
I still don't like where the grass meets the asphalt in Forza 3. That's a big turn off for me IMO. It just doesn't look right, where NFS and GT5p at least makes it look more realistic. And there's something wrong about the picture comparison. The last I recall, Forza 3 also used 2D x-shaped trees.
These guys should use comparison pics from both games when they are both using the same track, car, and when both are not in motion (as in the car being 0 kmph).
Being as that list is from a presentation, I think it's safe to say it's not a complete list of features, but highlighted main features to clear up some points. It also seems some of the features were listed to mainly tell you guys "hey these are the new features."
And apparently, N4G is home to some gamers that have reading comprehension problems.

^ actually from what i've been reading, people have been saying the NFS sounds are more immersive despite it being a crappy "sim" and that the Forza 3 sounds are reused sounds. I can't speak for NFS though since I haven't tried it myself.
@pixel
that's pretty interesting and sheds a lot of light re: that neogaf poster. bubbles up.
Wait in line 150 min , play ODST, shoot some alien scum, hang around w/ English-speaking tourist gamers, get free tshirt while doing it? Hey that's quite a deal!
Oh well, I guess gamers have to live with Forza 3's coverup damage. Collision detection BAM! New texture overlay. Another collision. BAM! Another overlay. Where's model damage deformation? They said there'd be actual deformation and that the physics was calculating it all!
