If Impact = sales, then I guess the music record of the year should have been given dozens of times to Brittney Spears for advancing music into the homes of people, nevermind the fact that it's the equivalent of McDonalds or another marketing product aimed at teen's wallets. Adam Sandler's movies which, though a lot of fun, don't really advance cinema in any way. Neither do Steven Spielberg's sci-fi movies.

As a gamer though, I don't care if a game sells 20,000 or 20 million. The game's quality is not really proportional to its sales. Okami, shadow of the Colossus, ICO, Viewtiful Joe were awesome games that sold like sh1t.
Also, metascores shouldn't be taken as gospel, especially not from metacritic whose criteria for deciding which scores count and which don't are subjective, not to mention there are always "mistakes" and it's run only by a single guy (Marc Doyle) that ...

Disagree all you want, but I don't call 5 versus 5 multiplayer a "War" even though the game is called "Gears of War". More like a shootout. The game should be called:
"Gears of Shootout 2"
Smaller processors and therefore less cooling equipment. Also, smaller processor means more processors per silicon waffer, which means it's also cheaper to make. Also, it means the motherboard can be smaller and therefore even cheaper. Eventually, it could mean a smaller PS3 redesign, which would mean savings in logistics, and higher demand. Small RSX and cell can't come soon enough for Sony.
What about physics? AI? Technical achievement? Scope? Size of game? Game lenght? Storyline? Artistical achievement? The feelings a game could evoke in you other than lust for sex, explosions, blood and gore? Dumbass.
Wii does suck for all those "hardcore needs", but in no way does hardcore = graphics. Processing power can be used for lots of things other than graphics.
Insomniac rules, guerrilla's best game was the last PSP killzone and even that wasn't met with as much praise as most Insomniac Games.
Insomniac's games are underrated. I had never played Spyro until I downloaded it off the PS store... what an addicting game! Can't stop collecting gems.

Anyway I hope that next-year all third party exclusives get ported to PS3 and viceversa.
I wanna see these games and series on PS3: Mass Effect, Left4Dead, KOTOR, Dead Rising, Ninja Gaiden, all other Japanese titles that didn't make much of a dent for Xbox 360 in Japan and every bit of exclusive DLC.

I don't wanna hear anymore about CliffyB's flamebait, the other CliffyB (the new one), or about Call of Duty developers' catfights. I just want my good games to come out finished with no need for patches to correct framerate drops and sh1tty glitches, my fair, balanced and objective reviews, and developers to shut up and put up.
Did you see the explosions in the first trailer? THose were unreal. So was the facial animation. So the animation in general and the level of detail, the fire....
Killzone 2 is definitely the most impressive game in terms of graphics and it did come close in many aspects, but on others it pales in comparison. You can't beat CGI which is not real-time with real-time footage, because it will always be three steps ahead. Perhaps by PS6 era games will be indistinguishable from CGI ...
This game has PS2 quality graphics, so enjoy your "AAA" PS2 game.
We're all gonna be broke this holiday season and February is poor for sales especially with the economy like this. If they delay it, not only will sales will live up to the potential of this game, but they could enhance the game with even more modes, more polish, less bugs, and of course, instead of using just "4.5" SPEs, they could try to see what they can do with the rest of the 1.5 SPEs available.
