Seriously, 4.33 million is A LOT of games considering it didn't launch on holiday season, it is on the most expensive console with least install base, and it's not as mainstream as Halo 3 or GTA4. I wonder how the numbers will be a year after it launched, and in the holiday.

Other than graphics, there's nothing stellar about Gears 2, and even then there are better looking games on other platforms since last year. Gears 2 is basically the same shallow game as the one that came out two years ago, since the game's storyline is ideally fabricated for pre-teens as it doesn't even take itself very seriously. The ending is just as disappointing as Gears' ending, and so is the final battle.

The sad thing is that, even though this game is getting better reviews from those that were disappointed last time, the ones that liked the original (Gamepro, 1up and Game Informer) sh1t on this one despite the fact that it's miles better.
Since they gave Gears a 10 from 1up even though it was A, a GOLD medal according to 1up, not a Platinum one which is the perfect game, but whatever...

Because actually, UE3 hasn't changed. It's still the same engine as 3 years ago! And evidently, it sucks.
Fable 2, Banjo, Gears 2, Fallout 3, Left4dead, GTAIV. Those are the games that every 360 owner should get this holiday season, considering Fallout 3 and GTA4 have exclusive DLC, and Fallout 3 runs better on 360 anyway.
As for PS3 owners, they should get LBP, Resistance, Valkyria Chronicles, Motorstorm, MGS4, Dead Space, and Mirror's Edge. I mentioned the last two because those were developed on PS3 and either run better or have extra DLC on it.

Resistance 2 is IMHO better than COD4 for its time, and much better than Halo 3. But maybe that's because I don't like down to earth shooters. Halo 3 didn't really push the envelope so I think it's overrated.
To me R2 is this years' Orange box. Do you know what score they gave to the orange box?
They gave 6 to the first resistance!!! Why do all reviewers that gave the first one good scores gave this one worse scores and viceversa? Maybe insomniac made the mistake of correcting what some reviewers didn't like but pissed off those that liked the first one....
How about not changing what's great, making better what could be made better (the graphics? Or maybe not...), and ADDING MORE to the already great package? You know, extra modes, more enemies on screen, storyline for the co-op mode....
