I have had good luck with it the few times I have tried it... I have a meager 10mb connection, and 70 ping to the server.
I just don't use it because it lacks a decent value proposition over something like Steam...

The article is wrong... The PS3 picture looks over saturated giving it a cartoony looks, while the xbox version is properly exposed and has a hyper realistic look to it.

Well this is n4g, and that means a number of things...
First, the blu-ray drive on the ps3 presents developers with the option of putting hours and hours of cut scenes on a game, and this is arguably the only advantage that the ps3 has over the xbox. So anything that detracts from the ps3 in any way, no matter how legitimate must be take on directly, because the ps3 fanboys will not accept any dissing of their console no matter how realistic, relevant or minor.
Put a pair of HD cameras on that thing and you could use it for all sorts of applications... Like correcting people who are either farsighted or near sighted... maybe you could even fix astigmatism. Or you could use it to tone down the light on a bright day.
Now all they have to do is get its weight down to less than an ounce.
I dunno, a lot of people here on n4g seem content to form a certain opinion about the precision and responsiveness of Kinect with out having ever tried it.
In particular Kinect's cutting edge voice recognition. Which is easily the best experience I have had with voice commands on any platform ever...
But it seems that there is still a lot of disbelief that Kinect finds a person and locks onto them instantly here on n4g...

Most of the flaws with Kinect that get pointed out here day after day are not flaws at all. They are things that haters WISH were wrong with Kinect. But most of the criticisms that I read on N4g are simply inaccurate. It is a very accurate and cutting edge device. It instantly locks onto users, and there is very little to no perceivable lag, and is very sensitive and allows for nuance. It is the ONLY voice recognition system I have used that does not require a noise canceling mic.

Nope. Just saying "xbox pause" and "xbox play" is faster than fumbling for any remote ever, and it works every time.
I thought the Kinect haters argument was that it had no core games, and we had moved on from the disinformation slurs that it doesn't work that well, because clearly it works great...

Again, look at the sales rates in America (I know it is only the largest video game market so America doesn count lol) But the xbox will outsell the Wii in America before the new Wii launches late next year.
Also, the Kinect is a huge hit everywhere but N4PS3G, and that trend is only gonna grow. You will see the Kinect effect in Europe this xmas season.
Xbox is. a contender for FIRST PLACE. Something that N4PS3Ger nerds are just going to have to deal with.....
