Think about what you just wrote. Think about it.

Imagine all the people involved in such a recall, especially with an issue as prevalent as new hardware launches. Do you not think that just one or two of those people would have leaked that information?

Stop letting your fanboyism make you stupid.

Yep, that's true.

But it's a console launch. It's unfortunate, but sacrifices in the software need to be made to allow the console to launch without a delay.

Sony would have had a priority list of features, gaming being near the top. I believe they were trying to push their Music Unlimited service a bit, so the feature of MP3 playback was towards the bottom of their priorities.

The good news is that after the backlash, it will be...

Please don't be serious.

If you are, I sincerely hope you are one day in charge of a large corporation. It would be hilarious.

That's a tad silly if you have to put a circular disk in a console in a specific orientation. That's called a design fault - no they are not idiots.

I don't believe that was the problem, however. I'm sure by chance they would have tried multiple disk orientations. It is possible the problem can rectify itself randomly.

On topic, both consoles will have failures. A large amount of hardware is sold day one, and thus these failures will be appa...

@Gribble

I can imagine there will be a lot of copycats from now on in. People won't keep watching them, however, without original ideas or great personalities.

I like this couple, but they need some sort of structure to keep people interested. I doubt they'll keep up a great viewership without a plan. Which is unfortunate, but they should enjoy it while it lasts!

I started watching when it was first posted on Neogaf. Was amazing seeing the views creep up from 200 to over 1000. Yosp's tweet, then Boyes call, and Patrick. Must be the best feeling for those guys.

This will be a thing, Sony should work on a dedicated app or mode for it. The Playroom has become the Killer-App for this without even meaning to.

They won't reveal more system spec info, at least, nothing that is worthwhile.

Don't be deluded, if they had some secret sauce, they would have revealed it. Moreover, it would be evident from their games.

If you for some reason have differing views from Misterxmedia or other trolls, don't get your hopes up, it will lead to disappointment.

Judging by your comment history - you really don't care for Sony's position.

And your argument is flawed, any electronic launch will have problems. We live in an age where social media is all too readily accessible - and hence, those with problems are able to make a large noise.

It is simply unfortunate that there was obviously some problems in the manufacturing, and there are still some software issues to be ironed out - but it should be expected. ...

I don't know why people find it hard to understand. It's all fine and dandy to say you wish there was a huge library of games at launch, but in reality, that's simply not practical.

Companies have to make games - and the aim of companies is to make money. There is no way a company would prefer to make a game for a console with a highly limited install base (1 or so million) versus an already established one (80 million).

It's unfortunate we h...

I don't think that any core gamer should really place too much weight on review scores.

There have been quite a few cases recently of games being reviewed lower by "journalists", but then have a great critical reception by fans.

I know that I'll be enjoying my PS4 games later this year - and I don't need a reviewer telling me I won't.

It hasn't got 5/10 from anywhere, either.

The article is about Polygon's undoubtable bias against Sony, especially that of Arthur Gies. While their review score would not sway any core gamer, it would certainly have an effect on more casuals looking to play the game.

Within your home, you don't need to rely on internet speeds because it can directly connect to the PS4.

Outside of it, we'll have to see what the requirements are when it launches.

I believe it has been confirmed that as long as you're on wifi, you can play.

However, performance may vary drastically, as it is effectively streaming the game so would need a good internet connection on both areas through which the data is travelling.

@BLAKHOODe

Titanfall will be "exclusive for its lifetime". It took Respawn by surprise, it was once planned to be timed but Microsoft and EA cut a deal.

It was albut confirmed Respawn will work on PS4 in the future, so you can almost guarentee future Titanfalls, (or even a rebranding of Titanfall 1, such as Titanfall: GOTY Edition) will come onto PS4.

I do believe Titanfall will be the "next COD" once it goes multiplatfor...

Luckily you can still play games without the Day One patch, so if it's spotty (as it could very well be), then just hop onto Singeplayer.

That being said, it's a staggered console launch. There won't be more than a million (and even that's probably overestimating) trying to connect at the same time on launch day.

On top of that, there's other avenues to download the update, you can do it now from numerous mirrors.

I think...

A bit of both.

Likely got him to sign an NDA, and he would probably be getting some stuff in the mail from Microsoft soon.

4451d ago 6 agree4 disagreeView comment

Correct. Upscaled.

There is no way that any game this generation on consoles will output in native 4K. The hardware simply isn't powerful enough.

*Well, I suppose less graphically-intensive games could.

Have to agree with darthv there.

Sure, they would move a lot more units with a kinect-less SKU, especially in the short term.

But the Kinect, aside from the games, is the only thing setting the two consoles apart. It is what Microsoft is hoping the more casual market will hang on to, making it a mainstream success.

Their entire console has been designed around Kinect, they won't abandon it now.

And neither does a limited RGB range.

When the PS4 screenshots are adjusted to crush the blacks as the Xbox One is doing, the comparison is made fair.

Please don't try to spin a 720p vs 900p and a frame rate advantage into a loss for the PS4.
