the weather is dynamic, 24 hour day night cycle, rain, wind, dust storms, clouds, stars, and walking around by moonlight sneaking up on NPC's is the best of any game ever (except MGS).
enemies or animals will hear you splashing water or rustling through bushes and react...

Stalker 2 and BF3 are DX11 from the ground up and they will not be dumbed down console ports as both developers have stated over and over again that the PC is the lead platform.

1. Metro 2033 is based upon THE NOVEL Metro 2033. Fallout 3 takes from that same novel. I was in a chat forum once with 4A Games and they cringe every time someone says Metro 2033 was inspired by Fallout 3. Also these are some of the same Devs that help make STALKER which also came out before Fallout 3 and STALKER was inspired by the Novel Roadside Picnic, which inspired the Novel Metro 2033 which again inspired Fallout 3.

Oh boy! can we get through one post without some one mentioning that K and Z game. I mean seriously i think Sony is paying some of these ppl to mention that K and Z game in every thread as Sony has ramped up it's advertisement of it even more.
I saw From Dust and yes it looks good..maybe not Crysis 2 good but it was an Alpha-version so that could change. It had a ton of water physics that were impressive. Remember the game is open world and changes on the fly unlike Crysis...
Saw some actual game play a while back and the game looks Good and the concept is brilliant so far.
The game play is fast and tactical...sorta like BC2. you gotta secure bases and positions for the Corporations (controlled by PC Gamers). PC Gamers will hire the consolers to fight for control of planet so PC Gamers can make the cash for the PC side of Eve.
It had kinda a F.E.A.R. vibe to it as far as graphics but way better. No mindless shooting as the gam...

Good question. ATi HD 3870 is about equal to a 8800gt.

I would put HL2 in there also. It's the first game i ever played where i really felt oppressed and i cared for the NPC's while going through the story.
i still get sad when you first get a handgun and the combine beats the crap outta that dude and his girl is crying, that right there really sets the tone for wanting to kick butt.
