yes many have said that the HD 6990 will be faster and seeing how a $1000 580 GTX SLi set-up beats a $700 HD 6990 buy only 2 to 5% in most games, a slower clock speed GF110 may be slower than a HD 6990.

Crysis 2 is no longer the poster child for Enthusiast PC gaming. That title went to Metro 2033 many months ago.
Crytek sold out for console cash and Crysis 2 PC is crap. it looks ok but it's only DX9 and lacks dx10/dx11 features.
was hoping to see 590 GTX benchmarks at midnight and more importantly the price tag.
you know how we have so many alternative fuels that we really don't need oil for fuel but if we stop using it so many countries would go broke. Besides oil is just so dam good.

Most sites say it's 2 GF110 with the full 512 cuda cores running at 600-630mhz 3420 mhz memory clock 2x384mb interface 3GB GDDR5 ram and TWO 8 pin connectors. Rumor is Nvidia is targeting $700 price tag (yeah right)
but will have to wait till midnight the 24th
Most likely a paper launch or very limited supply as Nvidia has been doing that a lot lately.
Either way very excited to see if Nvidia can beat the HD 6990 without making a card that cost $1100.

I have no mercy for Crytek leaving out DX11. there is just No excuse. It doesn't even have DX10 support. it's 100% DX9 with no AA/Af settings or post processing settings. ZERO customization.
Crysis 2 is a CONSOLE PORT unworthy to be in the presence of my Hd 5850 Cf or 560 GTX SLI.
BF3 will arrive right around the intel LGA 2011 release...yeh.
$12.50....that's still too much money for that game. save that $12.50 for The Witcher II you won't be disappointed.
I agree i'm not buying Crysis 2 until DX11. from what i seen on my friends Pc i'm not impressed anyway. it's a console port that got really dumbed down from it's PC roots.
Warhead looks better than Crysis 2.
most people get all blind sided by the light system in Crysis 2 but the detail and textures of Warhead are way better.
Agreed Metro 2033 was the new PC benchmark day 1.
Maybe BF3 will surpass it. Forged by Chaos running on the CryEngine 3 looks awesome but we will have to wait and see.

Crysis and Warhead shipped with all features in tack and I can't think of any games that added DX11 in a Patch. correct some features yes but add entire support NO.

i was hoping that the day 1 patch would be DX11 for PC but NOPE! Well as an Enthusiast PC Gamer I have chosen to pass on Crysis 2 until maybe the DX11 patch is released and Steam is selling it for like $20 or less. so far Crysis 2 reviews from respected sites confirm the game is dumbed down for consoles.
Crysis sold 3.5 million and Warhead sold 1.8 million but Crytek chose to place the PC version on the back burner for the easy cash made on consoles.

i think as long as they make a quality game they will be ok. if they deviate to far from the Halo:CE roots then yes they will scrutinized.
