The 360 had like 500k but the PC did "very well". No hard numbers but it's obvious it did millions because THQ has stated that the PC version sales figures is why a sequel is being made.
I hate DD only because it's difficult to get sales figures. I wanna know what number "very well" is. Maybe i can find a THQ stock report or something. anyway Metro 2034 coming late 2012.
Killzone 3 got changed because Guerrilla Games heard all the casual gamers crying about the weighty feel of the controls. This has ZERO to do with graphics.
I agree GG should have remained the same but this is a result of a Developer chasing Call of Duty instead of staying true to their game. adding 3D would have not affected the controls.
same with Crysis, the Dev dumbed the game down for consoles, Crytek can do graphics in their sleep but the game play...
I think dust is more than that. instead of just taking over an area of space and holding it so you can mine a planet....Dust 514 takes EVE to another level and now you gotta capture the planet.
just think NOW i can get in contact with your Mercs and pay them double of what your paying and now they will capture the planet for my Corporation. I can sit back and let you ferry them around and just collect my share without you knowing.

Of course AMD is gonna continue support of Directx. Not supporting DX would be Foolish and considered suicidal. AMD just made a valid point that DX takes up resources and it would be more efficient to program directly on the GPU instead of having to suck up to the DX "middleman" so to speak.
BUT....DX offers a great easy package that simplifies the process and makes compatibility debugging a lot easier. Programming directly on the GPU would be a nightmare! OpenGl ...

most scenes look the same but the Overall quality of the game goes to Crysis 1 because some parts of C2 look very bad.
Many PC Gamers (that i talk to) already knew C2 wasn't gonna out do Crysis which is so LAME cause of the ground breaking, graphics card killing, work that Crytek did to make the Legendary Crysis the Benchmark for 3+ years.

the same reason Hollywood always talks about new camera technology and filming techniques. Technology is one part of the driving force of video games with the other part being great game play.
certain games need great graphics to enhance the game play while some don't. Me like a lot of other gamers want ever game to look better than the last. If a Dev only focuses on graphics and not game play well that's the fault of the Dev. it's a balancing act...good graphi...

I find it funny that consolers are crying so much about BF3 24 mp but Killzone 3 and Halo Reach are like 24 mp too.
Consolers should just be happy to be able to play the game because PC Gamers who have DX9 graphics cards won't even be able to install the BF3 because of the no DX9 support.
if all i had was a 360 or Ps3 and even if BF3 was 4 vs. 4 i would be very excited.

sorry but your 5 year old consoles are very much limited. remember on the PC BF3 has ZERO DX9 support. If i was a consoler i would be happy with BF3 even if it was 6 vs....

I hate the Unreal engine with a passion but this is a nice improvement of Gears 2. Gears 3, 2 million sold day 1 unlike.....
iDK about Halo. I've played it many times but i never felt like i was there or it was me against the world. Halo really didn't make me feel like i was truly immersed into another world like STalker or these other games do.
The one part that did was when you first got to the planet right before getting the Warthog and you met up with the drop ship and the other troops and defended that fort thing. That part brought me into the game.

I take it you where in Lab X8 under Yanov. you used the Red and Yellow cards. I hated that place and especially when one of the Burrers was tricking me by crying like a baby. that really freaked me out.
After that I was never so happy to get above ground and see a Zombie.
Now out of all those games which one has playable vehicles, helicopters, jets, aircraft carriers, FULL Destructible environments, and the graphics of Uncharted 2 plus 64 mp......None of them.
if the consoles could handle 64mp plus what DICE is doing then DICE would do it. consoles are LIMITED.
