It must be your connection then with all your comments that every game you played has lag...try DSL instead of comcast cable. Then maybe you won't look like a fool when you state what you wrote. And for your information, a network when set up correctly will not lag. Maybe you need more schooling in the art of "how to set up a LAN". Or, I will be more than happy to come to your house and set it up correctly for you. My prices are quite resonable at $75.00 for the 1st hr. and $60...
Of course further down the article...
"It bears mentioning, though, that if you try to operate your own server on your console using the Xbox or PS2 versions of the game, you're limited to hosting only four players. The rest of the match is filled out using AI bots."
Beta sure I'll give ya that one, the other three however are still around...I think someone is being a little anti-sony here. So I guess in your eyes the VHS tape is a failure because everyone and their brother use a little disc called the DVD now? Is that where you are going with that statement? Or that the CRT is a failure because it is currently being replaced by Plasma, LCD, and gasp...Laser TV?
The PS2 was meant to compete with the original xbox. And it did it so well ...
Which would be a nice addition over the 360 version. Speaking of, I don't see where all the hate some of you seem to have for this game. I have it for the 360 and while I liked the missions, I didn't care for the multiplayer side of the game. Is it one of my favorite games...no, but it is something different to play and I definatly would not say it sucked as some of the narrow minded souls above me have, just like Chromehounds, that game got a lot of bad rap, but I ended up playing that ga...
why is that the exclusives all get a 8.0 or better scoring then? The multiplats are developed for the 360 which is a 3 core system, but that is not how games see the system. Developers build games around two cores and the third is strictly used for decompression algerithims. When a game is ported over to the PS3, it is not automatically using all 7 cores, it uses 1. It takes the developer time and energy to do a port correctly and they just don't want to do that. Can you blame them? I s...
I'll give you $12.00 for it...I have PayPal!
I agree totaly, Paramount really burned my bisquets when they switched from neutral to HD-DVD only. And because of it, I have asked my family to boycott Paramount movies. We have all agreed that we will not buy even a DVD from that company untill they start releasing movies on the BD format again. Don't get me wrong, that doesn't mean I won't borrow my neighbors DVD. :)
However, Sony did not sell its cell processor to Toshiba because it is failing, they sold the plant that manufactures the 65nm processor to Toshiba because IBM is going to produce the newer 45nm cell processor until Sony gets their new plant built. In fact, the Cell processor has won many awards and Sony is quite happy with it. And you are correct in your statement that Sony is more concerned with the Blue Ray development. Wouldn't you be? Game consoles have a 5-8yr maybe up to 10yr life ...
That is a very well thought out and written comment. I have written many times where in order to get any advancement, sometimes you have to think outside the box. Sony has done this time after time. Some good, some bad. At least they are not affraid of trying. Through this we have some great advancements (and I am not limiting this to game consoles) but the PS3 does have great potential. The MS crowd will stammer to their feet saying "show me the games"...well, those of us tha...
You are not only blind to the fact just because this comes from a BD site does not automaticaly mean it is made from smoke, but also that any of the current players under the $250.00 price tag that you are so proud to bring to the table will not support 1080p. So any consumer that is looking to get into high def, which will be the format of choice by the year 2009, is presented with a challenge as all TV's and broadcasts will be in HD. Now before you get your panties in a twist, yes I am fu...
Does this mean my Xbox Elite with the "UPDATED 65nm processor" is already obsolete. I mean come on, Microsoft just upgraded to the smaller 65nm for heat issues and next year will release yet another updated version of the 360 to include a 65nm video processor. Now I hear that Sony one upped Microsoft by switching from the already small 65nm to a 45nm! What gives Sony! How dare you try to save costs! That is Microsoft's game, you are not allowed!
Wow you anti-sony...
He bought the Betamax then turned around and invested heavily into the Mini-Disk! Poor guy.
Now that was a nice rebuttle. I hear ya when you say there are too many people on this site that dissagree with information even when you know you are correct and post the links to prove it. Just like my post in the Transformers audio posting where I had many dissagree that many HD-DVD movies are using the dual layer disc while most of the BD side fit on a single layer disc. I even posted the link to show my source and it was like...OMG this guy just said something neg towards the HD forma...
A lot of people think the 360 comes with a 3yr warrantee when it does not. It is a 1 year warrantee against defects and specificly has a 3yr against the RROD as it was and still is such a problem. The missing HDMI cable for the PS3 is a bit of a sour tast as most people picking up the PS3 at thier local Best Buy will also pick up that $45.00 HDMI cable or God help them the $120.00 HDMI cable (give me a break).
Never needed the extra software you are using for pulling the musi...
There you go with your double talk again...
"1st off I am console and format neutral. I weed out the BS and FUD, mostly by the bluboys and PS3 fanboys and see what the real truth is."
You say you are neutral yet use words like blueboys and fanboys. well if you are neutral, then wont you soon be purchasing that BD player yourself and joining the mass market?
and from your 2nd post...
"Look at the history: HD DVD came o...
I added the pics as promised...3 pics, 1st showing the dolby, 2nd showing the audio set up screen, and 3rd showing the PCM.
ignor this please, nothing to see here, was adding the pic for the 1st posting!
You are nothing but doubletalk...
"I am neutral. I didn't buy into HD DVD, I bought into HDM and will grab a PS3 (for gaming as well but it really is the best BD player and that speaks mountains of the format how you rely on a game console! I do NOT want to end up with a more expensive obsolete player) and BDs when I see the need. Right now HD DVD is doing everything they said they can do and I am enjoying it."
So lets look at that sentence..."I am...
I actualy laughed when I read you responce, that is priceless.
Macsto - the HD audio is more recognized by the 7.1 surround system. Just as audio went from stereo to surround, then dolby surround, then dolby audio 5.1 to DTS, and now PCM or lossless 7.1 surround. It is the last that this particular movie could not fit on its media of Paramounts "choice"
It's not like they have anything better to do while MS has their prized possession for repair!
