You make a great point, I totaly side with what you said. And it makes perfect sense too. The pure power of the 360 is awesome when compared to the other competitors stuff, they are like all weak in the knees when the 360 is around right. I truly loved it when the 360 was placed in the book of world records for it computing power, and how scientists are using it to find black holes and planets and stuff and...what? Thats not the 360? Thats the PS3? Well the 360 is in the book of records...

There is no denying it, but that is also why I have both the 360 and the PS3. But Blade, there is no getting around the hardware issue with the 360. My new Elite, not even 3 months old, RR'd on me a little over a week ago. So don't sit there trying to convince me that this is not an issue!

Shaka: Are you hinting that both formats do not offer the same audio/video quality? You do know that BOTH Red and Blue offer the same codecs right? you are not showing your movie with others, they have to have the movie as well, the only thing which is coordinated is starting the movie and messaging each other during the movie...Personaly, it is a neat gimmic, but I can't see it used much.
When you are at the theater, do you strike up conversations your neighbor and chit chat back and forth, I don't, the only thing I see this used for is friends doing this when they can't be in the same house.

A) Not everyone who buys a Blue or Red player is going to have high speed internet so watching the PIP of a live broadcast will not happen.

I am unclear what you are trying to show here, the fact that a HD-DVD is #17 and is ahead of the Blu-Ray of the same title, or that there are currently 4 HD-DVD titles to 6 Blu-Ray titles in the top 10.
Or is it that this is just from Amazon.com and does not relate to any other sites...for instance, DVD Empire is the opposit, Blu-Ray planet earth is in front of HD-DVD.

I think this year there will be a ton of HDTV's sold. The prices have come down to where more and more people are looking at them saying "yeah, I deserve one". Not to mention that more affiliates are now broadcasting in HD it is making more sense to get one. Once they have that 360 or PS3 connected to that HDTV, you are going to see a lot of after-sales for HD movies.
PS...I currently have 24 BD movies and have put 7 more on my Christmas list!
