Multiplats and exclusives are the fundamentals for any console company, it's what I expect. What do they have other than that now? Nintendo always do something different, Sony has VR, PS Now, PS TV, etc. what does MS have? It's clear they don't give a hoop about Kinect anymore.
"They did a lot better than last year." - like that was ever going to be difficult!
Not as good as last year but a solid showing. Hopefully at TGS they show the Last Guardian and Japanese related games.
They showed a lot of multiplats that I could have checked out on youtube. Multiplats don't seperate you from the competition, and their new exclusives are hardly anything to get too excited about. The rest where rehashes, although the Halo collection was a nice touch.
Here is my issue with this conference; it did nothing to show where Xbox is headed, it only showed what they have come back to. People keep saying "but they showed games!"... well yeah, X1 is a games console, that is what I expect but multiplats and some average looking exclusives don't tell me anything. As usual we get the Halos, Fables, etc. nothing new there. Even though I despise Kinect it at least showed me where MS was headed. Now they have nothing different. Just bac...
All I really thought was good was the Halo collection, about time and it was a nice touch for all the Halo fans. Other than it felt like a multiplat conference. All their new exclusives look cartoony which I amn't into.
I can go to youtube to see non stop game trailers. I don't watch E3 to see the big three show off multiplats; I watch it to see what they have up their own sleeves and where they are going, how they are doing.
Besides, all the multiplats will be better on PS4 and the exclusives MS showed don't exactly get the blood pumping in anticipation. They are all either rehashes with nothing new, or average games at best.
Well after MS showed the multiplats why shouldn't Sony focus on first party and VR? I'm impressed with Morpheus so far. I'm looking forward to seeing a bit more. As long as motion controls have no showing I'm happy. Sick of looking at retards jumping around their living rooms these last few years.
Yeah, it's strange. Except for Dance Central no mention of Kinect "which is X1" either, or the price drop. Sure they showed lots of games, but too many third party games and rehashes. The Halo collection was a nice touch but that was about it.
Sure... https://www.youtube.com/wat...
There are exclusives but they are hardly mind blowing, that's the issue here.
"Without doubt their best E3 conference of late" - well that certainly wasn't going to be tough.
That's what happens when you don't invest in first parties.
That was garbage!
@Lukas nothing but a smart ass reply to my comment because what I said is true. Insomniac haven't made a good game in a long time. Wait and see.
If Halo, Gears and Forza didn't manage to show MS evolving into a gamers company I don't know what will.
This game is going to flop big time. Nice and colourful is all it is. Insomniac haven't made a good game since R&C. The Resistance series was average at best although I enjoyed R3's campaign. Fuse was garbage. I expect this will be the same, just looks prettier than Fuse.
Lol, first Titanfall was the game to sell X1's, now Sunset Overdrive will sell more X1's than Titanfall. Give me a break. The Xbox fanbase is all about shooters like COD, Gears, Halo, so you would have thought Titanfall would have done the job there. This looks a million miles away from any of them.
"When so called "gamers" care more about the brand of a console then actual games, they are a sad excuse of a "gamer". - such a sad comment. I consider myself a core gamer through and through, but there comes a point when it's not about the games. I work my ass off for the money I earn so I decide not to give that cash to a company like MS.
I have owned three 360s in the past and original Xbox but after they shafted the core market in favour of ...
@georgenoob
You start your post by saying Quality >Quantity then immediately go on the attack saying X1 has more games and exclusives as your argument. You are quite the mystery.
Yeah I agree, I thought they both did well. I'm actually very curious about PS Vita TV. If it's true that it offers 1000 back catalogue games for $100 then I'm definitely getting that.
