It's so funny the way they are taking a leaf out of Sony's book, actually half the book. They f*cked up royally at E3 and need to follow the competitions lead.

Spencer is a good pick but I am not sure how much influence he can have. He is still going to take orders from above. The business tactics still belong to the upper echelons.
I completely agree. The pinnacle of gaming for me is top class single player experiences. I'm a huge BF fan (yes I know, BF4 is a mess!!), but I will always drop my online binge to play a quality single player game. And if that game is good enough, will play through it a few times on harder difficulties.

What missteps? I'm failing to see missteps by Sony here. Moriarty even fuds his own article when, after walls of text, he says "What does all of this mean? Frankly, it’s unclear.". So basically, pure rumor and speculation.

@Darpa - where did I show bias? I just stated the truth. MS fanboys spewed about PS3 having no games for ages after the PS3 came out, a quick google search will show you that.
Heard it all before during the PS3 launch. "PS3 has no games!". Now it's PS4 has no games. You will be eating your words when Sony get going.

Definitely not buying BF5 on release. BF4 still isn't fixed after all these months. EA robbed everyone who bought that game. €70+ for an unfinished, untested game. It's a joke.

Infamous as a whole was never a 9 or 10 game, it is in 8 territory. And most reviews seem to reflect that which is good. Can't wait to play this and wait for the rest of Sony's heavy hitters.
Who cares, this game looks great, same as Titanfall looks great. Never trust mainstream reviews. BF4 got an 8.5 from IGN ffs. Complete rubbish, that game is a mess, it certainly was worse back on release. Can't wait to play me some Infamous!
"Xbone will win In the end." - the only possible way this could happen is if MS buy massive exclusives every single year and I would be shocked if MS did this. They have never poured money into the Xbox. They ended up last gen pouring even less resources into the Xbox division and aimed at the casual market instead with Kinect for the cheaper buck.

Edit: just to update, Sony Computer Entertainment 2013 quarter 3 (to Dec 2013) financial results saw a sales increase of 64% year on year and an operating income increase of $172m.
